TIRE FLIP COMPETITION Jan. 2-31 • Mon.-Wed. 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. The challenge is to flip the tire as many times as you can in a two-minute time frame. Before each tire flip, patrons must ensure a staff member is present for safety and confirmation of the number of tire flips. This contest will have categories for men and women. The man and woman with the most tire flips at the end of the month will receive a prize.

TWO-MILE CARDIO CHALLENGE Jan. 2-31 Mon.-Fri. • 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Patrons can use treadmills, spin bikes, ellipticals or rowing machines to test their cardio endurance and to complete this challenge. Each patron is to make sure a staff member records their time and distance. Prizes will be given to the person with the longest distance on each piece of equipment at the end of the month.

THE NOT ANOTHER “NEW YEAR’S CHALLENGE” CHALLENGE Jan 1-31 We’re back with another New Year’s Challenge to help you get on the right track. Accountability is the name of the game. We will have weekly challenges that will help encourage you along your fitness journey.

THE RESOLUTION KICKSTARTER 5K RUN/WALK Jan. 6 • 8 a.m. Why not start or re-ignite your health journey with a fun run!

Feb. 10 • 8 a.m. We’re doing this fun run for all the lovers! Bring everyone out that you love... spouse, girlfriend, kids, dog, or nosy neighbor. Let’s paint the streets with Valentine colors, so wear pink and/or red. Registration/ check-in is at 7:30 a.m. inside the Jimmy Brought Fitness Center.

TRAIN LIKE TEDDY! Feb. 20-23 Celebrate one of our fittest Presidents, Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt, with a week of exercises based off activities he frequently engaged in. Check in with the front desk for each daily exercise regimen.

BRAGGING RIGHTS CHALLENGE BOARD Everyone is welcome to compete against present and former patrons to make it on the METC Challenge Board. Challenges consist of the fastest 2,000-meter row, most weight bench pressed, deadlifted, lifted in a squat, most push-ups, sit-ups, pullups, fastest one mile lap and most tire flips completed in two minutes. JANUARY JUMPSTART Jan. 1-31 Get a jumpstart on fitness goals by participating in the daily fitness challenges. Each day has a different challenge for participants to complete. Stamps will be issued for the fitness challenges completed daily. If interested in participating in this challenge, pick up a Fitness Challenge Tracking Card at the front desk inside the METC Fitness Center. For full list of challenges see the front desk. Prizes will be awarded to the top two participants.

1,000/500 POUND CHALLENGE Feb. 17 • 9:30 a.m. Men and women lift 1,000 lbs. and 500 lbs., respectively, in a combined dead lift and squat challenge. Prizes are awarded to the man and woman with the heaviest combined lifts.

Each patron is to make sure a staff member verifies the weight benched. The man and woman who lift the most weight will be awarded a prize at the end of the month.
