Dear Mr. Oppenheim, I am a recent graduate of the Architecture program at The Ohio State University and am very interested in acquiring an architectural design position with your company. I am passionate about studying sustainable practices that don’t forego the importance of aesthetics and would love the opportunity to learn and grow with a company such as yours. I am confident that if hired, I will go above and beyond to complete any tasks assigned to me at the highest quality. It is evident in Oppenheim Architecture’s projects that dedication to understanding architecture from an ecological standpoint is of the utmost importance. A hard working, dedicated fresh mind that is determined to discover new and interesting ways to encourage sustainable lifestyles through design would be a great asset to your company and that is what I am here to offer. This booklet contains a few work samples from projects I completed in my undergraduate career, as well as my resume and a list of professional references. I would love the opportunity to speak with you about skills and abilities that I could bring to your company. Please feel free to contact me at the email address , phone number, or mailing address listed below. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank You so much for your time and consideration,

Pushing The Envelope Spring 2012

Jasmine McNeil, Kayle Langford & Katie Mitchell

Programs used: Adobe Illustrator CS4, Adobe Photoshop CS4, AutoCad 2011.

The restoration of this art museum in Rome, Italy calls for a protective “envelope” to shield the building from the external forces changing the city outside of the walls of the museum. But inevitable forces penetrate the envelope and force it to punch into areas of the building, creating dynamic spaces within the museum. Artists’ dwellings as well as the building’s courtyard feature moveable walls, creating opportunities for smaller scale “pushes” of the envelope so that inhabitants may continue to mold the building and exert their influence on the building on a smaller scale.
