About Saul Lubaroff:

Saul Lubaroff is an Iowa City native, and started off on the clarinet in elementary school. But when he got to junior high, there were too many clarinets, so he volunteered to play tenor sax. Good move! Saul will tell you that what ignited his interest in jazz, were the unique musical opportunities afforded him in Eastern Iowa, from concerts at Hancher, and also early exposure to the University of Iowa Jazz program. As a musician, Saul’s experience has ranged from leading his own groups, as well as performing in Kid Logic, Johnny Kilowatt, Shade of Blue, and The Fez, to mention a few.

Saul is also a KCCK music show host. You can hear him most every Saturday and Sunday morning, as well as doing regular fill-in shifts during the week.
