smoke spots zine

Page 1

Ever wondered what it’s like being a hot stoner girly? Well this zine is made for you. From tips and tricks to scenery appreciation so far and I hope you enjoy.

is a summary of my stoner life

But before we get started a little introduction is necessary.

I have created this zine to reflect my experiences of being a stoner back at home, in Hereford, versus being in Nottingham where I study. This is a weird time in my life where I am now legally an adult, but it doesn’t really feel like it. I’d much rather be at home with my family than be a fully fledged person in society.

Anyways, have a nice read and thank you.

Spliff O’Clock Routine

Roll your joint

Use your favourite papers or whatever you have on handRaw Black Classics are my personal favourite

Get dressed appropriately

Chuck on a comfy hoodie or even your dressing gown, just make sure you’re cosy - Crocs are also perfect for Spliff

O’Clock Fill up your water bottle

To maximise your experience, it is key to have a good bottle. See opposite page for more info.

Grab your headphones and any attack deterrents

Music in headphones is the best way to enhance your high, however only do this if you feel safe - when it’s dark I like to bring my rape alarm with me just to feel super assured (being a stoner babe ain’t always that easy)

Pick your lighter

Clippers are a must but any kind of flame will do. If you’re feeling fancy, try and get a lighter that matches your outfit

Smoke it and enjoy

Spark up, smoke away, and let the music playneed I say more?

Castle Green

One of my favourite smoke spots because it’s so close to my house and it has a nice view of the Victoria Bridge. This place also holds a lot of memories like primary school fun runs, sledging in the snow, and working at my Mum’s Thai food stall in the Summer. It’s also really big so you don’t feel watched when you’re smoking.

The Arboretum

This was the first place I smoked as a Nottingham Trent University student. It has the prettiest flowers in Spring, and is home to the chubbiest and cheekiest squirrels I’ve ever encountered. It’s such a beautiful setting and I love taking a different route around the park each time I visit.

Bishop’s Meadow HR2

I like to go here for a change of scenery (even though it’s literally across the bridge from the Castle Green) because you can sit on a bench that over looks the river. In Summer my friends and I almost always get a meal deal, roll a spliff, and sit on the meadow until it starts to get cold. That’s a classic day out in Hereford.

Raleigh Street Park NG7

Since moving into my second year flat, I’ve been smoking at this park and it’s truly peaceful at times. It’s rarely busy and it’s on a hill so I get a nice view of Newton Building and even the Motorpoint Arena’s lights at night. Primary school kids play there after school and it reminds me of when I used to go to the park with my younger sister, Pam.

Roof Garden Home

If I could choose one place to smoke for the rest of my life, it would be my roof garden in Hereford. But not just the roof garden; the roof garden in Summer. The Summer with the singing birds, the pastel sunsets, and the caramel iced coffees in my Starbucks cup. The Summer that calls for laughter with my best friends, butterflies and bees, and a nice pair of sunglasses. The Summer where I can drink a cold bottle of cider or a nice glass of red, whilst I watch the day melt into dusk.

I would choose that any day.
