Team Project Main Level, 2 Hotel Levels, & Rooftop Level Revit, Enscape, Photoshop, Illustrator Charleston, SC

CONCEPT:

“A play on sophistication” illustrates opulence, while having eye catching elements. Charleston, South Carolina showcases grand styles of architecture, famous attractions, and whimsical design elements. Hotel Charles embodies pieces of Charleston through each space emphasizing color from local artist, Tom Potocki.

PROJECT SCOPE: Design a boutique hotel while incorporating residential living. Group must also design a: restaurant, bar, spa, rooftop, guest level, and apartment level.

DESIGN GOALS:

Collected from research, Charleston’s buildings display it’s southern and extravagant style. Incorporated elements from different locations inspire the aesthetic of the spaces.

Lobby Renderings Upholstery fabric color is inspired from Tom Potocki’s artwork. The vivid colors creates contrast against the dark Charleston green and brass accents. Custom molding details and high ceilings represents architecture found throughout Charleston.

RETREAT Spa Renderings Inspired by Folly beach in Charleston, the spa exhibits a relaxing and serene environment. Warm earth tones are paired with moldings to illustrate Charleston’s opulence.

trail1670 Restaurant Rendering Charleston, founded in 1670, is known for its many ghost trails. The restaurant creates a dark ambiance while it gives a relaxing and luxurious experience. Repeated custom moldings and brass accents displays sophistication.

Restaurant Rendering Dock Street bar and lounge is inspired from the first movie theatre, which is in Charleston. Dark wood paired with velvet material exemplifies luxury masculinity while creating a comfortable BAR LOUNGE and mellow scenery.

20,000 sq.ft. Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator Honolulu, Hawaii PROJECT SCOPE: Design a socially sustainable adaptive reuse proposal for a veteran living community. Design intent provides greatest possible outcome for life, health, safety, and welfare for all people.

CONCEPT:

Koa translates into, “strong, brave, and fearless”, and is comparable to a veteran who possess these traits. The center welcomes all vets regardless of age or mental/physical impairment. DESIGN GOALS:

Using research, good design, and utilizing the opportunities of the location, the center supports social sustainability. Organic forms, textures, and colors bring in aspects of nature, promoting mental health.

PROJECT SCOPE: Design and space plan for a primary care clinic. The goal is to provide two solutions, a partial and full renovation.

CONCEPT:

The book of Genesis tells the story of the creation of earth and conceptually portrays the idea of new beginnings. Natural elements and innovative technology encourages healthier spaces and connect occupants closer to nature. DESIGN GOALS:

The challenge of this project is to design the clinic while implementing a “sense of homefulness” and well-being. Designing from research, the clinic will incorporate biophilic and innovative design to provide better solutions for the “next generation”.

PROJECT SCOPE: Design Howell Hall and the Hunter Henry Center to house the CAAD (College of Architecture, Art, and Design) department while fitting the basic needs of each.

CONCEPT:

Art, architecture, interior design, building construction science, and graphic design benefit from one another in their own unique way. In an ecosystem, living and nonliving factors of the environment work together to keep earth livable. This concept derived from an ecosystem which will allow each major to individually contribute their work while promoting collaboration and great work culture within the workspace. DESIGN GOALS:

Design spaces that brings all the majors together, while implementing important requirements into each building.

Birds Of A Feather OTTOMAN PRODUCT DESIGN

Goal: Design a structurally sound product. The Birds of A Feather ottoman was inspired by the appearance of bird feathers. Many may overlook feathers, however, they hold beautiful characteristics such as color, texture, and patterns. The ottoman showcases structural support and textured fabric that represents the feathers. The ottoman can be used as a seat or leg support.
