SCHOLARSHIPS UNIVERSITY HONORS PROGRAM STUDY ABROAD

Based on your achievements, we offer some very competitive scholarships.

Typical Requirements

Award*

28+ ACT/1310 + SAT: 3.5 GPA as calculated by SIU.

$6,000 per year for four years, with a possibility of an upgrade. An invitation to apply for the University Excellence and Chancellor’s Scholarships will be sent if admitted by Dec. 1. Finalists will be required to interview for possible upgrade.

Possible upgrade No. 1: An additional $3,500 per year for four years (total value of $38,000).

Possible upgrade No. 2: An award that covers tuition, mandatory fees, and room and board for four years (total value of more than $98,000).

24-27 ACT/1160-1300 SAT:

$4,000 per year for four years (total value of $16,000).

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Apply to the university beginning June 1.

Beginning October 1, fill out a FAFSA at fafsa.ed.gov. SIU Carbondale’s school code is 001758. Some students are selected for verification. The SIU Financial Aid Office will contact you if more information is needed.

Fill out the General Scholarship Application at scholarships.siu.edu

by December 1.
