Steel-Flex® has exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long life under impact across the three installation types: One piece drivable, Two piece with drivable spike and Surface mount. Various post lengths are available.

SEMI RIGID STEEL PVC
Semi Rigid G450 Z350 posts come in two profiles, Rolled Edge and Straight Edge. SE posts are available in 1.6mm and 2mm thickness. Snap on safety end caps are included. 1350mm is the standard length. Other post lengths are available.
Premium polymer lane dividers that will endure repeated impacts. Available in lengths of 300mm, 450mm, 750mm and 1000mm in a range of colours and installation options.

Steel-Flex® is the most durable roadside delineator post available. It is roll formed from a special grade of high-performance spring steel, then protected by an ArmorGalv® thermal diffusion galvanised coating. Each post is then powder coated to provide a high gloss, UV resistant colour finish. Steel-Flex® is available in a wide range of colours and can be fitted with any delineation you require.
Its unique design and manufacturing process gives Steel-Flex® exceptionally high corrosion resistance, even after being impacted. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
DEFINITION
Delnorth Steel-Flex® is a patented flexible steel delineator post.
Steel-Flex® may be driven into the ground or road base using a Delnorth designed manual or mechanical driving device. Steel-Flex® is capable of withstanding repeated impacts and wheel overs by vehicles with minimal damage to the post or vehicle. Steel-Flex® roadside delineator posts comply with: British & European Standard E N 12899 - 3:2008 & Australian Standard AS 1742.2 and AS/NZ 1906.1
DURABILITY
Steel-Flex® can retain a minimum of 75% of colour, appearance and physical properties for 10 years even when exposed to extreme weather conditions. They are fire resistant and the powder coating can withstand temperatures of up to 140°C.
WIND DEFLECTION
Steel-Flex® flexible steel delineator posts stand vertical when installed. Testing has shown that the post will not deflect more than 35mm when subjected to wind speeds of 45m / sec. (162 kph) on the front face (convex surface) of the post.
BENDING PROPERTIES
The load required to bend each post length of 1000mm long to an angle of 90° should not be less than 30N. It only requires 5kg pressure to bend a Steel-Flex® post.
IMPACT AND WHEEL –OVER RESISTANCE
Steel-Flex® delineator posts return to vertical automatically after repeated vehicle impacts. They have been tested to 10 impacts from a passenger type vehicle at 100 kph without compromising
the integrity of the post. It has been tested to ten wheel over’s at 50kph from a fully laden 42 tonne truck without compromising the integrity of the post.
WEATHERING RESISTANCE
Steel-Flex® has been tested to comply with the following standards: Impact Resistance (ASTM D - 2794) Adhesion (ISO 2815) 2000 hr Salt Spray (ASTM B - 117)
FINISH & COLOUR
All faces of the Steel-Flex® delineator posts are a smooth gloss white powder coat finish to a minimum thickness of 70 microns over a ArmorGalv® thermal diffusion anti-corrosive protective coating.
FLAME RESISTANCE
Steel-Flex® is non-flammable
MARKING
The manufacturer’s name and the month/year date of manufacture with minimum 1 cm high characters, are applied to the concave surface of the post. The recommended installation depth is marked by a 12mm diameter hole punched into the post 40cm from the lower pointed edge. Reflective sheeting is applied to conform with the relevant specifications.
POST ANCHORAGE
One piece Steel-Flex® delineator posts are driven into the ground or road base to a minimum depth of 400mm. Dual retention barbs assist to provide post stability, correct alignment and resistance to unlawful removal by hand. Testing has shown, that when installed correctly in average ground conditions, there is a force of over 500kg required to remove the post from the ground.
To maximise the life of the post, it is recommended that a small V shape divot approximately 100mm deep x 100mm long x 105 mm wide, be removed to provide a bend radius when there is a direct wheel-over by a vehicle. This void may be filled with sand if required. Installation instruction sheets are included.
DELINEATORS
Steel-Flex® posts can be fitted with all available types of Guide Post delineators and Marker Post stickers complying with AS 1906.1. The posts can be driven in with delineators or stickers attached.
TESTING
Steel-Flex® posts have been test conditioned for 2 hours at temperature extremes of -10°C and +60°C.
HEAT RESISTANCE TEST

Steel-Flex® Flexi-T is a highly durable, impact resistant and low maintenance solution for road edge delineation. The Steel-Flex® Flexi-T is designed for installation into bitumen surfaces and extremely hard ground. The two-piece Flexi-T comes complete with a 400mm galvanised steel ground spike and a Steel-Flex® post fitted to a black flexible polyurethane hinge. These two components securely lock into each other for long term road edge delineation.
The ground spike provides a secure and corrosion proof post base that has minimal impact on the integrity of a bitumen surface when driven in. Installation can be completed manually or via a petrol driver fitted with our specifically engineered driving kit (highly recommended for efficiency and safety benefits). Attaching the two components takes seconds. Simply slide the Flexi-T hinge/post onto the drivable spike base and insert the locking pin provided.
The Steel-Flex® Flexi-T can be used for various road side delineation including road edge guide posts, marker posts and sign posts and is suited to both permanent and temporary applications.

Multi-message signs regulate speed limits on temporary work sites. The reflective material used meets current Australian Standards for retro-reflectivity and sheeting adhesion.
Sign-Flex® temporary signs are 3mm polycarbonate substrate with 30mm polycarbonate boxed edge attached. The sign mounts on bipod legs or the Delnorth BESH box edge sign holder. Up to three separate messages can be displayed on each sign. They can be single or double-sided and are also available with a detachable variable speed disc. Multi-message boards are also available as flat panel type to suit swing stands.
