VAHA Foal & Youngstock Show - Conditions of Entry 1. The VAHA Foal & Youngstock Show is conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations for the Arabian Horse Society of Australia Ltd. Competitors are responsible for becoming familiar with all sections of these rules as they form a part of the Conditions of Entry for this show. Copies of the rules can be downloaded at AHSA Rule Book 2021.

2. (a). All horses must be registered with AHSA Ltd (copy to be provided with entry form). (b) Registrations pending will be accepted and catalogued. It is up to the owner to prove to the show committee that the horse is registered prior to 5pm Friday 14th May. If no proof is forthcoming the exhibit will be eliminated, and entry fees will be forfeited. See rule 2a.

3. The lodging of an entry shall bind the Exhibitor to the Conditions of Entry set out herein and the signature of any Exhibitor on the entry Forms shall be deemed as an acceptance of these conditions.

4. The Association Committee shall have the power without assigning any reason to :(a) Reject or cancel any entry at any time. (b) Prohibit the participation by any person or exhibit in any event/class for which it is entered. (c) Cancel any event or class. (d) Remove any Exhibit from the Showgrounds. (e) Alter the time at which any class or event is to take place.

5. Entry fees will not be refunded once the entry has been catalogued. Regardless of the reason. A substitute entry may be used if possible.

6. The Association shall not be responsible for the loss of or damage to or injury to any Exhibit or to the property of any Exhibitor from any causes whatsoever.

7. The Exhibitor enters entirely at their own risk. In any case any Exhibit, whilst at Werribee Park shall cause or be the cause of any injury or damage to any other Exhibitor or to the person or property of any Members of the Association or the General Public, the Owner of such Exhibits shall indemnify the Association, its Officials and Members for any damage, costs, claims, expenses, or liabilities incurred with such Exhibits. The Exhibitors shall be liable to the Association, its Officers, Officials and Members for any damage or loss to any of them by the Exhibitor or the Exhibitors agent.

8. Protests are to be lodged with the Secretary within 30 minutes after the event with a $100.00 deposit. In the event of a Protest being judged frivolous, the deposit shall be forfeited. Any other disputes will be adjudicated using the AHSA Ltd Rule Handbook.

9. Foals being shown at the VAHA Foal & Youngstock Show are allowed a companion horse in the ring.

10. Non Pro Classes : A Non Pro is one who regardless of his/her equestrian skills and/or accomplishments, does not act as a professional and has submitted a Non Pro Declaration Non-Pro Declaration (ahsa.asn.au) nominating the horse(s) to be shown 11.Entries will not be processed until payment has been received.

Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre Code of conduct 1. Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre Committee of Management considers it a privilege that you can bring your dog to this venue. We insist you keep your dog under effective control and on a leash at all times.

2. Approved Safety Helmets must be worn at all times when riding.

3. Cross Country obstacles must not be jumped/used unless a non-riding level one NCAS coach is present.

4. Riding of horses bareback is prohibited.

5. Riding of rugged and/or unbridled horses is prohibited.

6. Any person may lead a maximum of two horses while mounted.

7. Stallions must at all times be in the control of a person aged eighteen years or more.

8. Horses are not permitted within/upon the quadrangle (between the barn & Indoor 1) 9. Horses are not permitted near pedestrian doorways.

10. Straw bedding is not permitted on the venue, wood shaving type bedding is accepted only.

11. Bicycles are not permitted in the Indoor Arenas or any stable block. Approved helmets must be worn at all times.

12. Bicycles are not permitted near doors designated as public entrances or exits.

13. Motor Cyclist riders must wear approved safety helmets and hold the appropriate licence.

14. Speed limits must be adhered to at all times, the speed limit at WPNEC is 10km p/h.

15. Power leads must not be on the ground or over roadways.

16. Construction of portable/tape yards is prohibited.

17. Alcohol must not be consumed in the Indoor Arenas, unless purchased from the licensed bar located in Indoor Arena No 1 18. Please observe all signs at the venue 19. Horses must be tied in a safe manner. Horses must not be tied to unattached floats, wheelie bins etc.

20. No infrastructure to be erected on WPNEC Grounds without written approval by management prior to event.

21. Entry and Exit doors to Indoors Arenas are not obstructed at any time.

22. Every event to book at WPNEC must provide their own first aid officials.

23. Report any incidents, damages, or safety concerns to WPNEC management immediately.

24. Dogs are not permitted on the Cross Country Course when in use.

25. Please call WPNEC Management should you require any assistance with ANY Issue.

26. Users who do not comply with these guidelines may be refused future use of WPNEC.

AHSA Ltd. Membership is only required to Own, Register, Transfer and Lease Arabian Mares, any Stallion and to show at The AHSA Ltd. Owners of registered Arabian Derivatives, Geldings and API’s may be AHSA Members and some participants (handlers/riders/strappers etc.) may be AHSA Participant Members.
