Jay Sawyer of Glenview, IL says that it is important to know that Congress and the President can reinstate a DRAFT if a conflict were so big as to require a major increase in the military. If they decide to reinstate a military DRAFT, the Selective Service System conducts a National DRAFT Lottery to determine the order in which young men would be drafted. He shares some of the ways to not get drafted. He says that once you are 26 years old, you are kind of exempt from being drafted. He also says that only the sole surviving sons or the last son to carry the family name must register with the Selective Service and can be drafted.
