Seductive Relaxation
The project focused on selecting a design inspiration from nature, exploring options ranging from animals to natural disasters. After narrowing down the research to three potential inspirations, the chosen concept involved renovating and refurbishing Sembawang Hot Spring Park, drawing inspiration from the lobster pot pitcher plant. Through this project, the individual discovered that deriving design ideas from nature is a common practice among architects.

The concept of redeveloping Sembawang Hot Spring Park suggests a different kind of relaxation not normally found in Singapore, where individuals can experience true relaxation in a manner not common to Singaporeans.

Villagers Dwelling
The project focused on Little India, a historically rich part of Singapore, aiming to create an architectural structure for the regular visitors, referred to as "villagers," specifically those who frequent Bangla Square in Little India for relaxation and recreational activities. The design was developed by understanding the context and meeting the specific requirements of these users.

Villagers Dwelling
Through analysing the various postures these frequenters make at the site, I crafted a storyboard, with the smokiness connecting people together at the site, and the shades of trees attracting people to wander here for tranquility and relaxation.

Villagers Dwelling
With this proposal, frequenters of the site may come here and use this dwelling however they wish, whether to lean on the panels, lie down, or sit. The transparent layers of the dwelling serves as an artistic expression of the smokiness.
