Flying High: Still Soaring picks up where our first album, Flying High, left off. We’re back with the Big Band “canaries,” the women who got their start singing with the great bands of the era before heading out on their own. This time, we widen the circle, adding even more trailblazing voices who pushed past expectations and helped shape the sound of their time. Following their music beyond the Big Band years, it’s clear these women didn’t just take flight. They kept rising and they kept soaring.
