Success Story RAHUL LAMBA

rlamba@harriswilliams.com B.S. in Commerce with Distinction, Concentrations in Finance and Accounting and a Global Commerce Track, McIntire School of Commerce, University of Virginia After graduating from UVA, Rahul joined Harris Williams & Co. as an Analyst in the Transportation & Logistics Group. He interned at Ernst & Young in New York during the summer between his third and fourth years before deciding to pursue a full-time role in investment banking. Rahul chose Harris Williams & Co. because of the firm’s exclusive M&A focus, reputation for unmatched deal flow, and collegial culture. “I knew that as a HW&Co. Analyst, I would have the opportunity to play an essential role on live deals and learn from some of the most accomplished professionals in the M&A industry,” Rahul says.

In addition to his transaction work, Rahul supports the development of the firm’s Transportation & Logistics Industry Update, which includes M&A market analysis and capital market trends, and he is also involved in recruiting efforts. “The level of responsibility given to Analysts on deal teams and in Industry Groups has been invaluable to my professional growth and development,” he says. Rahul accepted an offer to stay at Harris Williams & Co. as a third-year Analyst, and after his time with the firm he will be joining Endeavour Capital in Los Angeles. When he’s not in the office, you will find Rahul exploring Richmond, rooting for the Hoos, or staying active (running, playing basketball, etc.).

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY Harris Williams & Co. provides Analysts with the means to develop their skills in business communication, strategic thinking, modeling, and client-facing work in collaboration with the firm’s leadership. Each summer, new Analysts from our worldwide offices convene in Richmond for an intensive training program designed to integrate our new colleagues into our culture, provide thorough knowledge of the firm’s practices, and prepare our Analysts for the robust deal work ahead.

Description of HW&Co. Analysts Analysts play an integral role in the firm’s activities As an Analyst you will: › Actively contribute to each phase of the deal process with a high level of responsibility on transaction teams › Develop valuation models and analyses › Research private and public companies › Assist in writing and preparing presentation materials › Actively participate in non-transactional committee work

Eligible candidates should be working toward or already possess a

bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. No specific academic major is required; however, basic knowledge of finance and accounting is desired.
