The rising divorce rates are greatly affecting the children and they suffer from emotional and psychological problems. Child care and control should be taken so that the child does not undergo much stress and their future remains secured.

Children are very precious, innocent, and transparent and open to life. Their attachment to their parents decides their quality of life. But the turning point comes when divorce comes in between the parents. The innocent victims of divorce are the children. They are highly affected by their parent’s split. The process of divorce is itself a traumatic one and when a child is involved it becomes more complicated because there are several clauses and agreements to be signed before the final decree. The custody of the child becomes another issue for both the parents.

It becomes very difficult for a single parent to take care of the child both financially and individually. Generally, most persons are on the view that child custody always goes to the mother but it is not totally true as the court always put its concern to the child’s best interest. Child custody laws ensure that children continue to receive adequate care from their parents, despite the changes that divorce brings to the family.
