CONCEPT: 34th Avenue is a mostly residential open street that promotes biking and walking, but even though open streets protect pedestrians from cars, cyclists and pedestrians can still engage in hazardous situations. This map represents the flow of slow walking pedestrians like the disabled, senior population and children compared to fast moving bycicles and motobikes. This map shows the sensory experience of the situations when fast moving traffic interferes with the slow moving traffic which results as tense and uncomfortable moments, and dangerous situations for both bikers and walkers. As well as the feeling of safety walking on spaces with enough lighting compared to ubstructed lighting due to tree coverage.
