Wondering how to make the most of the summer months and spend more time with your friends and have fun? A playful picnic at Alexandra Headlands could be exactly what your looking for.
Bring a surfboard and hit the point break. The headland provides a wave that requires plenty of cutbacks and can be fun for less experienced surfers. At the tip of the point break at beach access 166 is The Bluff, favoured by many locals and home of the longboarding and Mal Club.
Don’t fret if you forget your wax, or want to try out a new board.
The Alex Surf Shop and Beach Beat Alexandra Headland are both just a couple of minutes walk across the road from the beach.
If skateboarding is more your scene, the Alex Heads Skate Park is a must. The main bowl is surrounded by long, smooth sections of quarters.
There is one main sloped rail that is double angled for approaches in either direction. Plenty of ledges bordering the park as well. Unless you’re a local who’s used to the beach lifestyle, this park is going to be a real treat!
