I am so excited to present this collection of previously unreleased work from October 2023 and June/July 2024. These journeys were made possible by the support of my friends, family and patrons, for whom I am extremely grateful. I’d also like to thank Donald Jurney, who provided a travel grant to me last year that started my love for traveling and painting.
Through these pieces, I hope to transport you to the breathtaking landscapes I encountered, sharing the sense of wonder and captivating beauty. Each work is a testament to an adventure filled with unexpected discoveries, delicious food, and moments of joy.
As you browse this catalog, my wish is that these paintings not only bring a smile to your face but also ignite your own sense of adventure. The memories captured here will always be a part of me, and I am so happy to share them with you through my art.
Venice

I began my journey in Venice, an enchanting city full of light and atmosphere. There’s nothing quite like it—the weathered buildings and luminous water create something truly special. Some of history’s most renowned artists frequently painted here.
I had the honor of painting alongside my good friend, Patrick Okrasinski. Observing his approach to both his painting and career was so helpful. At one point, while searching for something to paint, I noticed Patrick set up in front of a building. I decided I had to attempt painting him!
I hope you enjoy my interpretations of this iconic city.

Southern Italy
Pages 24-31
Following my visit to Venice, I journeyed to Albanella in the Cilento region for the Grand Tour Residency, an experience marked by generous hospitality and immersion in Italian culture. We had a wide range of beautiful subjects to paint — from ancient Greek temples of Paestum to the historic and weathered buildings of Albanella and local towns. The hosts provided supplies and larger canvases, allowing me to push my boundaries and work on larger scale paintings to help capture the massive Greek temples.
The experience of working alongside talented peers, overcoming challenges, and being immersed in the local environment was an amazing journey that will continue to influence my work moving forward.

Rome, Florence, Cinque Terre

After saying goodbye to my friends and hosts, I left for Rome. I navigated the bustling stations with my luggage and settled into my new accommodation. Despite initial setbacks and painting failures, I persevered and created some of my favorite pieces from the trip. I then journeyed to Florence, reuniting with fellow artist Rolf Hellem and the beautiful city of Florence once again.
The following days were filled with painting sessions amidst intermittent rain, capturing sculptures and historic buildings. After Florence, our travels continued to Cinque Terre. We painted, and enjoyed swimming in the refreshing and clear water. It was a wonderful way to end the trip on a great note. I’ll never forget the sunset on the last evening.

Italy, Switzerland, France

In October of 2023, I had the wonderful opportunity to travel through Europe with my girlfriend, Marisa. Our trip began in Venice and ended in Paris, offering a wide range of sights. As the trip progressed, the weather turned brisk with more rainy days than sunny ones, but we made the most of it, painting whenever possible.
This trip became one of my favorite travel experiences. While solo travel has its benifits, sharing these moments with a loved one made the journey even more special, creating memories we’ll cherish for years to come.
