Outline 2018

Last year was a strong year for Jansen de Jong in which a lot was achieved. A few things that truly mark last year were the rejuvenation of top management, the reconstruction of our company at Sint Maarten and how we defined our new strategic objectives. We look back on a successful year full of developments in the field of innovation and sustainability. Amongst these developments are, the Woody Building Concepts, gasless building and the completion of the Hato Airport at Curaçao. These are also reflected in our figures as the group has achieved a strong EBITDA result of €34 million (Including the exceptional income from Drienerveld, around €10 million) and 20 million after tax.

The expected growth in revenue in 2018 has been more than achieved (an increase of more than 6.5%). The total liquidity position amounted € 11 million at 31 December 2018, which is an improvement of € 26 million compared to 2017.

Cluster The Janssen de Jong Group consists of three different clusters: Project Development & Construction, Business Premises and the Caribbean. The various subsidiaries within these clusters operate under their own management.

Project development & Construction Louis Camps (50) and Mark van Doorn (39) have been appointed as cluster management for the Project Development & Construction cluster. The most important reason for this new management structure is being able to offer total solutions and integrated projects to its customers, such as sustainable area developments and reallocation projects. For our companies, Koninklijke Woudenberg and Janssen de Jong Bouw Noord and Bouw Oost, Aafke van der Werf (44) and Jan Henk Schipper (43) respectively have been appointed as managing director. With these two professionals, the management team of both subsidiaries is at full strength and the cluster is ready for the future.

Business Premises The Business Premises has a strong profile in the market with brand names such as Hercuton and Remco Ruimtebouw.

Headed by Ivo van der Mark (39), the cluster continues to achieve success within the field of sustainable development concepts such as the Woody Building Concepts, fully specialized in conceptual timber construction for Business Premises.

Caribbean A challenging market and unpredictable demands are putting pressure on our companies in the Dutch Caribbean. The companies have been established on the islands for over 65 years and know how to deal with this. Local management,

which draws its energy from exploiting opportunities instead of emphasizing obstacles, comes up with (innovative) ideas and developments that are one step ahead of the competition.

We are therefore proud to express our appreciation for the dedication and passionate craftsmanship. Thanks to the contribution of the Signal Sosial Foundation, which was established in 1998, they are committed not only to the group but also to society on the various islands.

Sustainability In 2018, an important focus point was laid on innovation within the field of sustainability. Among other things, this translated into adapting F-labeled homes to energy-neutral homes within a period of just five days. 25 gasless homes were delivered in 2018. Work was done in the Caribbean on recycling possibilities for asphalt production. In the Netherlands, there was a lot of attention to the development of circular housing projects.

Human capital The employee is central. This is one of the strategic pillars of Janssen de Jong Group. Every year we link an annual theme to our slogan "Let's build happiness". The 2019th theme is about the health of our employees. A healthy lifestyle is fueled by various aspects. That is why four related themes have been chosen: food, exercise, work/private-balance and safety.

Throughout the year we give substance to these themes through various campaigns. These promotions can be followed via the website and our social media channels.

Finally, a word of thanks to Pieter van Gulik who worked for the Group for 18 years in the role of CFO and member of the Executive Board. The Board of Directors thanks Van Gulik for his important contribution to the total organization. As a shareholder, Van Gulik remains involved with the Group.
