Airconditioning

On the last day of the stay, the use of the air conditioning will be settled. Payment of the air conditioning preferably in cash in Nafl or dollars.

To limit the costs, it is advisable to make sure that the air conditioning is off during the day When the air conditioning is on, keep windows and doors closed The air conditioning uses more energy when windows and doors are open The air conditioning can also leak water

Only at the Iguana Studio No. 1 and the Garden Apartment there is no meter for the air conditioning. Here, Nafl 7,50 is charged per day.

ATM

At most supermarkets and banks there is an ATM. The nearest is in Tera Cora (in the parking lot of the Medical Center and also at the gas station) Towards Westpunt there is an ATM in Barber

In the direction of Willemstad there is an ATM at the entrance of Centrum Supermarket as well as in Sambil Mall

BBQ

Every accommodation at Jan Kok Lodges features a BBQ. It is easy and hygienic to put aluminum foil on the grid. Clean the BBQ after use and leave no residue.

Never throw BBQ ash in the waste bin at the outdoor kitchen or in your own waste bin. DANGER OF FIRE!

BROKEN

In case something breaks or if something doesn't work, please report it to Jeroen or Frederieke so that we can repair it or replace it Further on you will find the inventory list with (possible) replacement costs

Cats

The cats are here to scare away pests. Do not feed them or leave them in the accommodation. All our cats, like the dog, are vaccinated.

Cleaning

Your apartment/studio is cleaned 1x per week The linen and towels are changed 1x per week

If you want your apartment/studio to be cleaned extra, that is no problem and please inform Frederieke about it An additional Nafl 100 will be charged for this

We do our utmost to maintain all accommodations as clean and hygienically as possible

If something is not to your liking, please let us know, do not wait until the departure day or later

Check-in time is between 4 pm and 8 pm

DOG BOBBI

Bobbi is the dog at the Lodges She's very sweet and if you want to be friends, she's one for a lifetime She gets enough to eat, so please don't feed her

Electicity

Electricity is precious on Curacao Therefore, do not leave the lighting on unnecessarily and turn off the air conditioning and the fan when you leave Please also turn off the outdoor lighting on the veranda when you go to sleep

The studios have 220 Volt sockets The apartments have both 110 and 220 Volt sockets

Sometimes there are power outages. In case of a power failure, it is advisable to disconnect phones/computers/ipads from the power outlet. When the evening arrives, we provide lamps. Within a few hours, the power failure usually is resolved.

In the outdoor kitchen is a small library. The books and board-games are available to everyone.

There is a mailbox at Centrum Supermarkt Stamps are for sale at Samson (Jan Noorduinweg) and at Van der Tweel Supermarkt The nearest post office is in Otrabanda

Outdoor Kitchen

The outdoor kitchen is especially for our guests staying in the studios

After use, please leave the kitchen clean and please do your dishes and store the plates and pots where they belong. It is nice if you also change a full garbage bag.

PARKING

Parking at Jan Kok Lodges is possible in the parking lot at the back. Make sure that the car windows are closed in case if rain. Also lock the car. Never leave the gate-remote in the car!

Do not park on the property behind the second fence/yellow columns or in front of the Garden Bungalow or in front of the Garden Apartment

In front of Jan Kok Lodges there are also 2 parking spaces Cars rented at Jan Kok Lodges may not be parked here overnight

Parking in Willemstad

On Curacao, except in Willemstad and at the airport, parking is free

In the paid parking areas in Willemstad, the rules are strict, in case of violation you quickly have a ticket or a wheel clamp

Swimming Pool

TOILET / BLOCKAGE

Because there is generally a nice breeze at Jan Kok Lodges, there are not many mosquitoes. Waste

At the front of Jan Kok Lodges are the waste containers in the wooden conversion
