Student Absence Procedure It is important to indicate if a student has Coronavirus symptoms to enable registers to be updated accurately.
Phone the college absence line to let them know that you will not be in college •
01782 254333 (absence line Newcastle) before 9.30am. If possible also inform the personal tutor or CL via email. Parents will receive a text message if a lesson is missed. This is automated and will happen even if you have phoned in to report and absence. Authorisation of Absence forms can be completed for certain absences in advance.

Teams (Virtual Session) - Access using Students college Email

•Level 3 Students are currently working to a timetable which has one week contact teaching in college and 1 week remote teaching on Teams. •In order to support remote teaching all students have been set up with an account on Microsoft Teams. This is to ensure that student contact is maintained when working remotely through class delivery and 1-1 support. •All students have been inducted into using Teams and will need to set up the application on their home computer, tablet or mobile phone. •We have completed an audit of students who may have limited access to IT equipment and are working to resolve any issues. •For the current academic year all teaching staff will use Microsoft Teams to support online learning. •Assignments and teaching material will be set on Teams for students to access and work completed can be uploaded remotely.
