INTRODUCTION Hotel ELEO at the University of Florida is an upscale boutique hotel located on the campus of the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. The hotel opened in 2020 and wraps around Rush Lake. The hotel features floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall windows for a bright and airy luxurious feel. Here, experience custom furniture and marble from Italy, custom woodwork from local craftsmen, original art by the principal architect, exposed concrete, sleek lines with unique architectural design, corten steel façade, and random width windows to replicate a DNA pattern which hints at the heart of who we are. ELEO comes from the Greek “Ἔλεος”- the personification of compassion, empathy, and mercy; the male counterpart to the Roman goddess Clementia.

While many of our guests stay with us while in Gainesville for the award-winning care provided by UF Health/Shands, we are open to the public and offer upscale accommodations, upscale amenities and services, valet parking, award-winning dining, inspiring fitness and yoga space, flexible indoor and outdoor event space, and a team that genuinely cares for all of our guests and thrives to provide exceptional service to complement our exceptional amenities.
