Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I'm following path God made for me I took his hand, I heard him call, Then I turned, and bid farewell to all I could not stay another day To laugh, to love, to sing, to play Tasks left undone must stay that way I found my peace ... at close of day And if my parting left a void Then fill it with remembered joy A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss Ah yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened... deep with sorrow I wish you sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I've savored many Good friends, good times And was blessed with a loved one's touch Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don't lengthen it now with grief Lift up your heart and share with me, God wants me now ... He set me free.

Mrs. Theoclaire “Theo” Jackson, was the daughter of proud parents Arthur and Norma Jean Gabriel. Theo was born April 1, 1949 in New Orleans and grew up in Gretna, amongst six brothers and sisters. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School and spent her professional career as a medical secretary at southern Baptist medical. At an early age, Theo professed her faith in Jesus Christ and was a dedicated follower of our Lord. She was united in holy matrimony to Paul Anthony Jackson Sr., on July 27, 1968. This 50 year union was blessed with four beautiful children and a life of love. As a result of her generous spirit and funny personality, Theo was loved by many. Her Christian life was as beautiful as the flowers she loved, and her influence will forever remain in the lives, of all who knew her. Theo quietly departed this life Tuesday, June 19, 2019 Her beautiful spirit will forever be cherished in the lives of her family. Theo was preceded in death by her husband Paul A Jackson Sr., her sisters June Marie Thomas, and Yolonda Agnes G.B. Miller. She is survived by her children; Paul A Jackson Jr, Ryan k Jackson Sr., her only daughter Jaime Lynn Jackson and Gerren k Jackson. Her nine beloved grandchildren, Christian Jackson, Christiana “nanny” Jackson, Chelsea Lauren Porea, Keith Jackson, Elijah Jackson, Lauren Raby, Ryan k Jackson Jr.,and Kingston Jackson. Her sister Carol Anne Gabriel, and Brothers Arthur Micheal Gabriel, Gary Paul Gabriel, and Larry Gabriel. In addition, Theo will be sorely missed by a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A reunion occurred in heaven this week Of the sweetest and most joyful kind As Mom’s spirit moved beyond this earth Released from her mortal life And what a reunion it must have been! A joy beyond our conceiving When Mom met Dad in heaven again Ending her dignified grieving And we are certain Dad is still holding Mom’s hand While she cherishes each moment by his side , And they’re experiencing the joy of being together again Catching up on the time they were denied We are confident they are also looking over us Hoping this happiness will lessen our pain As we contemplate the joy that they finally feel Now that they are together again And though we’ll miss them terribly And will long for them with deepest grief We are reminded that love is more powerful than death And this knowledge gives us comfort and peace So although we’ll miss our Mom profoundly Our grief is somewhat lessened For we are comforted knowing that she led a good life And she and Dad are now together in heaven
Our hearts have been made heavy during the passing of our beloved mother. We appreciate the many acts of kindness extended to our family. Your prayers and all expressions of love and sympathy are greatly appreciated. May God’s blessings of peace and love continue with you forever.
