With the support of over 5,000 volunteers, 750 sponsors and donors, Houston Habitat has been instrumental in addressing the need for improved housing and revitalization of several neighborhoods in our city. At the end of 2013, we completed 20 homes in Houston Habitat for Humanity’s newest community, Harrel Park, located in Northeast Houston, where a total of 111 families will call home by the end of 2015. We can’t thank our supporters enough. We are in the 4th largest city in the U.S., and the growing construction in Houston has put building materials in high demand. From land to concrete to wood and nails, we face rising prices just like other home builders. It makes maintaining the affordability our homes affordable a true challenge. We continue to rely on the generosity of sponsors, donors and volunteers to help keep costs low. We hope that you will join us on this exciting journey by giving your time, talent and treasures.
Through the support of our sponsors, donors and volunteers we have been able to build on average 30-50 homes a year.
