LOVE HEARTWOOD - EN ROUTE TO NET ZERO

Liz Pearson joined Blue Patch in 2019.

Her business, Love Heartwood makes wooden gifts, toys and homewares to help families live more simply and sustainably. From the outset, sustainability was important to Liz and she explains how, with the help of Blue Patch she created her first climate report.

bp What led you to want to work out your carbon footprint?

LP We’ve made the commitment to run Love Heartwood in the most ethical way, which meant some form of carbon auditing.

bp What is your advice to others?

LP Don’t worry about not knowing anything at the start, auditing carbon is a work in progress.

bp Was there a moment when it all clicked?

LP I didn’t have an aha moment as such, I think it is one of those things where the more you do it the easier it gets.
