Preparation of ABM students towards their career path

As the Philippines implemented the K-12 curriculum, a big shift in the education system came to pass The Department of Education (DepEd) offered promising education quality through tracks Programs were specially made for each strand to instil crucial and fundamental skills that will help in the moulding of learners for their careers The Accountancy Business Management (ABM) strand, in contrast to other tracks in the senior high level, paves the way for students who are inclined to pursue business-related college degrees and careers ABM learners are to be introduced to special subjects that specialise on basic concepts related to the strand Some of which are Fundamentals in Accountancy, Business Math and Business Finance which are specifically aimed to provide students with the necessary skills in solving problems in the business world Special subjects like Organization and Management, Applied economics, and Principles in Marketing stresses on the tools and needed set of skills to lead and manage in an organization as well as to understand the basic principles on how a business runs The DepEd also included in the curriculum special subjects like Work immersion, Research, and Business Enterprising Simulation that involves hand-on experience wherein the learners must apply the knowledge acquired from other subjects in their respective curricula In conclusion to this, the Accountancy Business Management strand offers a variety of programs included in the curriculum that will help position learners who are to set foot in the field of business and hands them the opportunity to acquire and experience the basic fundamentals and set of skills while in upper secondary education to help jumpstart on their careers
