Certain things are worth waiting for and we feel Volume IV is just that. It seems like it has been a few years since we have hosted a female sale. The 2023 females are probably the strongest set that we have put forth. We have held back nothing on the front end of these females and we are certainly proud of what we have to offer in the sale. Our cattle market is showing tremendous strength and the excitement this fall with our calves is going to carry right through. Market share on our white bulls is finally expanding into programs that would never have spoken of it 10 years ago. There is no better time to put your program into high gear and new genetics can do just that. Charolais genetics are in demand right now and we are seeing a huge presence of youth and new breeders getting involved in the breed. The Charolais female has made leaps and bounds in terms of quality and maternal strength. We feel the females in Volume IV are a strong representation of where the Charolais breed is headed. We are excited to welcome back Elder Charolais and their strong offering this year. Our friends at Hunter Charolais are a new guest consignor this year bringing over some stout breds that you’ll find in the catalog. Good people make it so much easier to work with and we feel fortunate to have these two strong breeding programs involved with Volume IV. These programs of the same mindset as ourselves. We practice what we preach and stand behind our programs. Katy Perry is one of the females that will leave a lasting impression from the minute you see her. The capacity and softness in this female is remarkable and the cow family behind her is one of her biggest attributes. Ellie Mae is one of the real special females in this sale. If you want maternal power for long term breeding results look no further. Dakota is one of the feature Honky Tonk females - she is flat out good with that extra rib and volume. Her dam has been a solid producer and a cow family that has raised some front end females. Kianna has been one of my favorites since she was a heifer calf. Eye appeal in this female with a chiseled front end to her, yet maintains that strength of top and thickness. Champagne is one of the lead off heifer calves this year out of the new Jaguar herd bull. She is flat out good and has been from day one. Attractive fronted female that has an ideal skull structure, plenty of body mass and thick top. The Elders Jaguar bull led of the Elders sale in 2022, he has hit a few homeruns with our cows this year and the flush with the Champagne cow is just that. This female has the depth of flank, udder type, and power that is very desirable. A female that will go out and raise front end cattle year after year. Her Zeus dam has been as consistent of a producer as we have around here. Homo Polled female that can be bred many different directions. The Jaguar bulls are tremendous this year in the bullpen might as well get ahead of the wave and own a daughter. Champagne was Harper’s show heifer this fall - she is kid proof!

We put a choice lot in the female sale this year for a few reasons. We literally have 10 of these full sibs and wanted to offer a couple of them up this year. Not very often you get a flush that female heavy and they have consistently turned out. These two heifers came in from the same pasture and we have been back and forth who is the better one. So we will leave that up to the buyer and see what direction they go that day. The 125L female to me has power cow written all over her she is massive bodied, soggy, deep flanked, and strong skulled. She has a nice udder type developing and she moves out so effortlessly. The 295L has been one of the eye appealing daughters all summer. Strong in her lines, well balanced, thick topped, and smooth fronted. Pick your poison and the other one will stay at the ranch we feel this combination is loaded with long term value.

Homo Polled Epic daughter that is lights out good to me. The depth of rib, softness in this female, swagger in her walk and wrapped up with a killer front end. I would like to see this female brought out back as a bred she is all sorts of good in my eyes. Epic daughters mature out so well. Honky Tonk is siring growthy cattle while maintaining calving ease and birthweight. He is a long term breeding tool for many reasons including his desirable structure and phenotype. We are super excited and honored to be asked to participate in the Wilgenbusch Volume 4 female sale. We have been friends with the Wilgenbusch family for over two decades and have owned a multitude of cattle over the years together. John and Doug bought the first bull, Junction, together in the fall of 1999. Doug bought his first registered female in 1976 under R &H Cattle Co. Hunter Charolais was founded in 1985 when Doug and Marianne got married. Our program has been developed over the years using an extensive AI program with an emphasis on structurally sound, productive cattle that have calving ease and above average performance. We cull hard on structure and production traits to maintain a cow herd that is structurally correct with functional udders. The four females that we are selling I think exemplify what we are chasing as a program. Easy doing, sound moving females that are going to have functional udders with longevity built in. All our heifers have been pregnancy checked favourable to their AI date, they were exposed to Turnbull’s Jarell 16J afterwards. The females are available to be seen at any time before the sale at the farm and we look forward to seeing everyone sale day.

The white glory cow family is one of the oldest and biggest cow families on the farm. They have consistently over the years produced front end females and bulls for us. 2136K is no exception to this. This girl is an absolute tank, being a big volume easy doing type. We bought her sire Hardball for his maternal traits being a Carbon Copy out of the Wynnemaker 983W cow who needs absolutely no introduction in this catalog. We are tremendously excited for the first batch of Hardball females to go into production. We think the guess work is done with this girl especially being bred Tank. The calf is sure to come easy and pound down the scale by weaning time.

International sure knows how to stamp them. Feminine fronted, big middled and angular made. You have to appreciate how just how long this heifer is and still maintains a strong topline. Prada’s dam has been a solid producer since she showed up at the farm. We think her mating to the Wheaton bull can hit a homerun.
