Frank Cattle and Genetics 2020 Bull Sale

FERTILITY: All bulls sell as guaranteed breeders. The 2yr old bulls have passed a breeding soundness exam and trich test, all paperwork will be available on sale day. The yearling bulls are guaranteed to pass a breeding soundness exam prior to pickup/delivery or no later than June 1st in the year of purchase. In the event of infertility, a replacement will be made available, or future sale credit will be offered in the amount of the purchase price minus salvage value.

INSURANCE: Aside from infertility, all other guarantees will be made through insurance only.

For any customers that choose to insure their bulls on sale day, Frank Cattle & Genetics will pay 50% of the policy premium. We recommend using Jim Geis with American Livestock Insurance for all mortality insurance coverage. For further questions regarding these policies Jim can be reached at (970)590-0500 HEALTH: Herd health is among our top priorities, we work closely with Dr. Tharp at the Holyoke Veterinarian Clinic to insure our vaccination protocols are always up to date. All lots in the sale have been tested free of BVD and will be picked up/delivered with a clean bill of health.

DNA: To most accurately represent the cattle in the offering, each lot has been parent verified and tested free of genetic defects within their respective breed. Additionally, all bulls offer genomically enhanced EPD’s through Angus GS on the Angus Bulls and GeneSeek GGP on the Red Angus bulls to improve the accuracy of their performance predictors.

DELIVERY: Bulls will be wintered free of charge at our grow yard located in Johnstown, CO until April 1st. All bulls will be delivered free of charge within 400 miles of that location. We ask that all females be picked up or delivery arrangements be made within 2 days of the sale.

SEMEN INTEREST: Frank Cattle & Genetics will be selling full possession and salvage value on all bulls in the offering, but reserves the right to 1/3 semen interest.

Dear Friends, It is with great excitement that I write this letter, as it marks a milestone achievement for me and my family. Having the privilege to offer our first ever production sale to the public has been a goal of ours from the start. As I look back and reflect on our journey to this point, I find myself overcome with a strong feeling of gratitude for all of those who have helped along the way. From our mentors, to our loyal customers, and especially to our neighbors who are always there when we need them the most. I can’t thank you enough for helping us accomplish our goals.

This year’s sale group will always hold a special place in my memory.

They represent a cycle of calves that endured the brutal winter and spring of 2019. While some may be missing part of an ear or tail, their quality is still outstanding and their hardiness should never be questioned. Not only do they have performance and eye appeal, but they are backed by a hard working cow herd with a strong line of genetics. We feel it’s imperative to stay true to the maternal value of our black and red Angus females, and place a great deal of emphasis on fertility, fleshing ability, and udder quality.

While we are committed to our “females first” mentality, we still understand the need for performance and carcass traits within our genetics. In the pursuit of adding accuracy to those traits, all of the bulls in our offering have a genomically enhanced set of EPD’s. Our goal with this Investment is to better serve our customers whom capitalize on the carcass quality of their cattle.

Looking forward to the year ahead of us it seems as if there is a renewed sense of optimism within the cattle industry and we pray 2020 proves to be more prosperous for all of us involved in the agriculture sector.
