Horses will be available for your inspection the morning of the sale. Maple creek has ample accommodations for meals and lodging. We would be pleased to make reservations for you if you contact us. The auctioneer has complete charge of the sale, and in the case of a dispute of missing, his decision will be final. The Auctioneer will decline any bid made by parties who have defaulted in former purchases. Payment to be made the day of the sale, before the horse leaves the building. All sales are for cash unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Bidding will be in terms of Canadian Funds: thus US buyers can adjust to the current exchange rate which will be posted on the day of the sale. Personalized cheques will be considered cash. All horses are registered and will be sold as such. Transfers will be assessed the buyer of each horse. Registration transfers with fees will be sent to the appropriate association once settlement has cleared our bank. If buyer pays cash or uses a credit card to make payment, papers will be handed out at the sale (with the exception of weanling papers which may be being processed). For buyers paying by cheque, papers and transfers will be sent out once cheque clears. Each Association (AQHA, APHA) will require a current membership before releasing registration papers. This is the buyers responsibility to ensure their membership is current at time of purchase. Buyers will assume responsibility and expenses for a horse after the fall of the Auctioneer’s gavel. Feed and water will be available. Boarding arrangements can be made. A brand inspector will be provided. Horses must have a brand clearance before they may be transported. Liabilities: Any person attending the sale does so at his or her own risk. The sellers, sales committee, sale personnel and attendants assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur. The sellers, sales committee, sale personnel, and editors will not be held responsible for errors or omissions that may advertently appear in the CHRHBA catalogue, posters or websites.
