On Sunday, April 24th, the 17th annual Newport Beach Film Festival will present its Irish Spotlight, an evening celebration of Celtic cinema and culture. The event will feature the premiere of the highly anticipated Irish film, My Name Is Emily (2015) followed by a festive post­screening reception.

My Name Is Emily is the debut feature from Irish filmmaker Simon Fitzmaurice, and stars Evanna Lynch (Harry Potter franchise) as a young 16 year­old who runs away from her foster parents to break her father (Michael Smiley, Kill List, Spaced) out of a mental hospital. She enlists the help of her classmate, Arden (George Webster, City of Dreamers) and the two of them take off on a road trip across Ireland.
