Field Trips are designed to complement your curriculum, and diverse themes enable you to engage your students with the Cade again and again for continually layered educational experiences.

Field Trips

Through hands-on lab projects and conceptual immersion with our exhibits, your students will be inspired to think like inventors as they apply these core science concepts:

In addition to Field Trips to the Cade Museum, we now offer immersive experiences in your school and classroom or virtually. For schools that are unable to visit The Cade, our Cade educators will come to you to provide a unique learning opportunity in person or on-screen. Either way, we can provide the supplies needed to engage your students in powerful hands-on learning.

For the 2020-2021 season, the Cade Museum is offering many field trip options to excite and engage students and teachers alike.

In the Museum Lab & Learn Two-Hour Creativity Lab Experience Consists of a two-hour experience in the Creativity Lab. Choose from any Lab and Learn topics offered.

Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 40 Students Maximum (14 minimum)* $14 per student

Lab & Explore Two-Hour Creativity Lab & Museum Immersion Blended Experience Students will be divided into two groups.

Group One begins with a one-hour Creativity Lab experience; Group Two embarks on a one-hour Facilitated Museum Experience, including exhibits and added experiments. Groups switch after one hour so that all students receive equal time in the Creativity Lab (one hour) and Museum Immersion (one hour). Choose from any Lab & Explore topics offered.

Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - will open museum exploration for 40 students minimum 80 Students Maximum (40 minimum)* $14 per student*

Labs & Explore Topics: Each of these Lab & Explore topics are a mini version of their Lab and Learn Counterparts.

Each topic can be tailored for grades K through 8th grade.

Labs & Learn Topics: These topics are designed to correlate with CPALMS and NGSS standards for each grade level.

Explore More Two-Hour Facilitated Museum Immersion Students will enjoy a two-hour Facilitated Museum Immersion of all the Cade’s educational exhibits, plus hands-on experiments in our main rotunda.

Large groups will be divided into smaller groups, of up to 20 students each, to ensure an optimal learning experience.

Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - will open museum exploration for 40 students minimum 80 students maximum; 40 students minimum* $7.50 per student

In the Classroom The Cade Museum can now bring our educational programming right into your classroom. Our Cade educators can deliver exciting hands-on lessons and activities in-person - in your school or classroom - or join your class to instruct virtually. These topics are designed to correlate with CPALMS and NGSS standards for each grade level.

Cade in the Classroom One-Hour Lab Experience Brought Right into Your Classroom Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 40 Students Maximum $10 per student + $125 setup/travel fee (1 fee per day/per school in Alachua County)

What’s Best for You? The Cade offers a broad range of Field Trip options from which to choose. If you have questions while booking your trip, please contact our Program Coordinator to determine the best trip format and topic theme that will address your specific goals and cater to the grades of students participating.

Field Trip applications for Fall 2020 will be accepted beginning June 30, 2020.

Applications for Spring 2021 Field Trips will be accepted beginning September 28, 2020.

One-Hour Guided Lab Experience Presented on Zoom Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 100 Students Maximum $5 per student + $100 flat fee (with educator & moderator) Supplies, as necessary, will be provided for the class: Teacher pick up - Free / Shipping- Additional fee
