This is the beginning of our journey supporting the environment, circularity, and fabrics manufactured within sustainable practices. We are delighted to offer fabrics with compositions of recycled and organic content within our high performance range. The following identifies these important standards and how they assess environmental considerations.

Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX®

To achieve Zepel’s Eco label a fabric must contain: • At least 50% recycled or organic content, or combination of both • Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX certification • ISO 14001 Environmental Management certification.

OEKO-TEX® is an environmental certification relating to the entire textile production process. In order for a product to be awarded the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certificate, it must undergo rigorous testing which ensures its production process is harmless in human ecological terms.

Global Recycled Standard (GRS)

Organic Content Standard (OCS)

GRS is a product standard to verify & track recycled materials through the supply chain. It also includes a criteria to prevent the use of chemicals, & confirms positive workplace/ environmental production at facilities. A fabric must hold at least 25% recycled content in order to be noted as containing GRS polyester, and at least 50% for the logo to be included.

OCS is a certification awarded to products that contain verified organic content such as organic cotton. Based on the composition, fabric is either awarded the ‘Organic Content Standard 100’ for fabrics containing more than 95% organic fibre, or the ‘OCS Blended – Organic Content Standard’ for fabrics containing between 5% & 95% organic fibre.

ISO 14001 defines a criteria in which an organisation should control & continue to improve their environmental management performance. `This means that in the manufacturing of products, the organisation is meeting environmental objectives & analysing their impact. SCAN ME!

NATURAMA A standout from the Eco collection, Naturama is a softened canvas like, plain weave FibreGuard design. A clean, supple handle appeals to a relaxed, organic, and inviting aesthetic. Naturama is perfectly aligned with current trends in minimalist living. Its matte finish lends itself to a beautiful earth, neutral and sky filled colour palette. Naturama is made of 100% Eco components in 55% Recycled Polyester and 45% Organic Cotton.

REWIND An elegant, dual purpose chenille with inherent FibreGuard protection, Rewind is the perfect choice for high use areas in residential and commercial settings. Rewind is made of 100% Eco components in 77% Recycled Polyester and 23% Organic Cotton. Its subtle sheen and silky finish make for an excellent colour vehicle, with availability in rich shades of red, mustard and rust alongside ice greys and core neutrals. Rewinds calming texture and easy care properties are sure to provide long lasting comfort.
