True Friends
James P. Giangobbe
Lift not up your hopes too high, because promises made often die.
Words are empty when loosely spoke. Of little value, more like a joke.
Choose your friends wisely my friend. Only they will be there for you in the end.
Others make gestures, that easily mislead Those that follow them will be sorry indeed
True friends always mean what they say, and never would they lead you astray.
Never would they dash your hopes or dreams, shatter your desires with worthless schemes.
Instead they lift you up with all their might, make certain, for you, all turns out right.
Yes, choose your friends wisely, it may be hard to do. Because really true friends are a precious few.
