James Warring
James Warring has established a long career in tax and financial advisory services grounded in discipline, technical understanding, and consistent leadership. Raised in Montgomery County, Maryland, he completed high school in 1979 and later attended a university in Baltimore. He earned an undergraduate degree in accounting and finance in 1983, entering the profession during a period marked by changing regulatory expectations and growing fiduciary responsibility. During the mid-1980s, James reached several important professional milestones. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1984 and a Certified Financial Planner in 1986. He later expanded his credentials by earning the Personal Financial Specialist designation in 1990. These professional qualifications guided his career direction. He worked at seven accounting firms across the Washington, DC metropolitan area, gaining broad experience with varied client needs, compliance requirements, and operational structures. After a 12-year partnership at an accounting firm in Bethesda, Maryland, he began a new chapter in 2007. He founded two separate organizations, one focused on investment advisory services and the other on public accounting. Warring intentionally maintained them as independent entities to support transparent governance, regulatory alignment, and defined service responsibilities. Instead of pursuing aggressive expansion, he emphasized steady and sustainable growth. Over the next 15 years, both firms grew nearly tenfold. What began as a four-person operation expanded to more than forty employees by the time the businesses were sold in September 2025. James Warring attributed this growth to careful integration. In the later years of ownership, five practices joined the platform, including four accounting firms and a third-party administrator practice. Each addition strengthened operations and helped preserve long-term client relationships.
