Collaborated with senior architects to develop design concepts and plans for various construction projects, including a green belt site featuring two bungalows and an intercity family home, and presented designs to clients for pre-application submissions. Utilized AutoCAD and Revit to create detailed 2D and 3D drawings, contributing to comprehensive presentations and design proposals for diverse stakeholders, such as clients and regulatory bodies. Housing for Health is a program run by Healthabitat that involves the surveying and testing a standard list of around 250 essential safety and health items for every house and surrounding yard area. As a part of the team, I was involved in the collection of data and upholding maintenance of houses within Alice Springs. This also involved immediately starting on fixing urgent fixes identified in the survey. Data is then used to improve not only the function of the house but the health of the occu-

RECIPROCITY “A city within a city”
Located at the former BHP administration site in Mayfield North. The barren, currently unused plot of land located only 5km from Newcastle’s city centre is prime land for a residential model, a new ‘city within the city’. The design brief released by the NSW Government prompts architectural practices to consider the role played by architecture in shaping processes of urbanisation. More specifically, the brief seeks to generate speculative proposals for a model city that is both situated within, and yet remains distinct from, the existing fabric of Newcastle. A city that can ease tension off Newcastle’s demand for affordable housing & in a growing population.

RESURFACE “Honeycomb Shelter”
Resurface consisted of both individual and group elements to create the finalised, curated form as presented. Through a section process, a site was selected, Echo Point Lookout, Katoomba, upon which we believed users’ experience could be improved by developing a rapid installation. In prototyping, a series of schematic architectural solutions were developed and presented. These prototypes considered the collection of research, data and site analysis. The final presented, curated work resulted from a parametric design where the envelope could be adapted for the different climates that were present on the exposed site.
YIELD “Flow”
Yield criticises the use of public space in Newcastle through the development of an envelope that has a multitude of purposes. Developed to observe specific weather patterns upon the site, the envelope uses the original grassy hill which the council maintains as useless space and evolves it from useless to useful.

Calculating the math on how much rain can be harvested for the large roofing structure and comparing this number to the volume of the pools
“Flow” was developed as an instrument wrapped in public space, physically representing the amount of water that falls upon the site whilst hosting activities such as cooking and meeting. Using a reflection pool and the site’s gradient, water is captured by the large roof, harvesting rainfall and directing flow from the top to the bottom, where visual connections are also established with the ocean, the flow source.
