Our Story
The Ray White Real Estate Group was founded in 1902, when its namesake, Ray, established a stock station agency in Crows Nest in Queensland

After more than 20 successful years in business in Crows Nest, Ray moved his agency to Brisbane Ray White Real Estate survived the Great Depression, several recessions and the economic pressures of World War II, becoming the first agency to provide a comprehensive service in all facets of real estate
In 1956 Ray White’s youngest son, Alan, took the helm Under Alan’s leadership, the company flourished, establishing several suburban branches in the early 1960s
Brian White, the current chairman, became managing director in 1976
By 1982, the company had 60 branch offices throughout Queensland and Brian had decided to move into franchising
The first franchised office was established at Capalaba in Brisbane in 1982 Since then, Ray White had grown rapidly across all states and territories of Australia with representation in all major metropolitan and regional centres. In 1993, Ray White crossed the Tasman and now has a widespread network of offices across the North and South Islands Two years later, in 1995, Ray White commenced operations in Indonesian where we are now the leading real estate franchise
In 2010, the group continued its expansion to India and China providing a valuable link between our major networks in Australian and New Zealand and the fastest developing economies in the world opens first office in Crows Nest, Queensland
