The Permeable Courtyard is a public retrospective space that was designed upon memories. The goal of the project was to create a tranquil place where people could meet and reflect. It is a reinterpretation of the Middle Eastern courtyard, adapted to a contemporary Nordic context. Architectural elements as well as materialities drawn from both cultures are yielded together in order to provide a place which would bring a sense of identity and belonging to all of its occupants.
