Breakout Blueprint: Where Purpose Resides

Page 1

Where Purpose Resides Make this your declaration: “From here on out, I WILL live from the center of my purpose!” You’re no longer satisfied with guessing at what you’re meant to do or having only scratched the surface of how you’re really created to impact others. Deciphering your purpose with as much specificity as possible will give you the freedom to move more confidently into any space, knowing you’re always in the right place at the right time. It will also help you in your decision-making and project-planning. Most importantly, it will make you more…purposeful! Once you know your purpose, you can learn to walk more powerfully in it. Because you’ve done the responsible work of uncovering and getting crystal clear on your purpose, many moments that have been literally waiting on the sidelines for you to have this epiphany will start moving towards you because now you’re prepared and ready to handle them. Get ready for clarity like you’ve never had and a sense of urgency that will serve as focus, fuel and direction from here on out!

Breathe. Decide in advance you’re going to have fun with this and not be anxious, desperate or frustrated. You’ve been living a long time not knowing your exact purpose and you’ve gotten along just fine. This is a moment you’re having that’s going to upgrade you, but it won’t make or break you, so don’t put unnecessary pressure or stress on this. HINT: Even after you do this initial work, clarity will continue to come for weeks, months and even years after! Be okay with that.

Believe. Believe NOW that you WILL discover your purpose, and it will become clearer to you than ever before. Understand this realization may stretch you more than expected and it may play with your fixed identity up to this point. Believe NOW you can handle that. Believe that this knowledge is already opening doors that have been waiting on you to walk through them.

Buckle Up. Get ready for the feeling I like to call “zooming.” Zooming will feel like suddenly doors are opening and things you are working on seem to catch fire. Your eyes and heart will be open to some adventure where your personal relationships and profession is concerned. Get ready for new experiences and opportunities to come your way and plan to say YES a large majority of the time when you see your newfound purpose written all over those new things. Don’t get “married.” These answers may shift for a few days or weeks, allow that. Don’t get married to any of the new words or demographics you’re fleshing out. Stay flexible. As you work, when you’re away from the worksheets, you’ll begin to get more clarity. You’ll have encounters with people that give you aha moments that may change the work you started and shift things, or further crystallize some things. Allow that.
