Jackson EMC Jackson EMC was founded in 1938 on the belief that by working together, we could improve the quality of life for residents of Northeast Georgia through the power of electricity.

That idea hasn’t changed, and a Jackson EMC membership still costs the same today as it did then - $5.

Jackson Electric Membership Corporation, one of the largest electric cooperatives in Georgia and the nation, is headquartered 50 miles northeast of Atlanta in Jefferson, Ga. The cooperative serves more than 230,000 meters.

Jackson EMC’s Corporate office is in Jefferson, Ga. District offices are in Gainesville, Jefferson, Lawrenceville and Neese. Engineering and Operations Centers are located in Jefferson, Lawrenceville, Neese and Oakwood.
