Give the Gift of Propane Appliance Rebates This Holiday Season

Everyone wants a little extra spending money for the holidays. Your customers can get cash back (in the form of a check) on select propane appliances through the end of the year.

As of mid-October 2021, the Texas Saves with Propane Appliance Rebate Program still has plenty of funds with $173,000 remaining. The Propane Appliance Rebate Program, funded by the Propane Council of Texas (ProCOT), helps homeowners and businesses that purchase select new propane appliances offset their costs. Whether someone is remodeling their home, building a new house, or just replacing an old or malfunctioning appliance, this program was developed to assist them, as well as be carrot to choose propane as their preferred energy choice.

2021 Rebate Amounts

$300 for new propane boiler or furnace (includes backup) $300 for new propane water heater $600 rebate cap per Texas household or Texas business

What is a qualifying installation? A new qualifying propane appliance can be installed in any of the following: site-built house, manufactured house, mobile home, or commercial property. Installations in RV’s , travel trailers or homes connected to propane community distribution systems do not qualify.

A propane safety inspection is required. Rebate applications must be received within 30 days of propane safety inspection.

How to participate?

1. Register as a participating propane marketer by registering at https://txsaveswithpropane.com 2. Upload and submit completed and signed rebate applications through our secure rebate portal. 3. Rebate check will be sent directly to the end consumer

The rebate application was recently updated for clarification purposes and can be found on pages 21-22. to check fund availability, download marketing rebate materials, reserve funds, submit rebates, and check statuses of each of your rebate applications.

Available marketing materials for download include: a flyer, social media ads, and bill stuffer. Please see Page 23 to see how you can get the word out to your customers by subscribing them to the Winter 2021 edition of Propane Living.

Rebate Tip: It is not recommended to reserve funds at this time as we have ample funds and reservations cannot be extended or renewed.

1. Registration with program. Sign-up at www.txsaveswithpropane.com. 2. A copy of the completed application (includes PDF and online). 3. To show appliance proof of purchase, please provide a copy of the end user's sales receipt or invoice indicating that it has been paid (ex. invoice with zero balance or marked paid) (dated after April 1, 2021). For new construction proof of purchase, our program accepts purchase contract/builder contract with home buyer, bill of sale, builder contractor's work order with the installation address, Texas Gas Check Form or Gas Appliance System Check Form.

NOTE: This form must be signed by both the rebate recipient and propane marketer. Application must be submitted by the propane marketer ONLY (on behalf of recipient).

The completed application and proof of purchase must be uploaded with accompanying required documentation via our secure web portal at www.txsaveswithpropane.com within 30 days of the safety inspection, or the application will be void.

The Texas Saves with Propane Program will only be available as long as funding is available. The Propane Council of Texas reserves the right to end this program at any time without notice.
