2022 Texas Propane Appliance Rebate Program

Propane Council Rolls Out Simplified 2022 Texas Propane Appliance Rebate Program

The Texas Saves with Propane Appliance Rebate Program, funded by the Propane Council of Texas (ProCOT), will continue to help Texas homeowners and businesses that purchase select new propane appliances offset their costs in 2022. Whether someone is remodeling their home, building a new house, or just replacing an old or malfunctioning appliance, this program was developed to assist them and be a carrot to choose propane as their preferred energy choice.

What is a qualifying installation? A new qualifying propane appliance can be installed in any of the following: sitebuilt house, manufactured house, mobile home, or commercial property. A propane safety inspection is required.

Installations in RVs, travel trailers, or homes connected to propane community distribution systems do not qualify.

Important Changes for 2022

1. Applicants must use the updated 2022 version of the appliance rebate application found on pages 17-18. 2. Applies to qualifying propane appliances purchased on or after January 1, 2022, while funding is available. 3. Reservation system has been removed. Rebates are available first-come, first-served, while rebate funding is available during the 2022 calendar year. The live calculator is available on the rebate website. 4. The Council has removed the deadline that applications must be submitted within 30 days of the safety inspection but strongly encourages that marketers get in the applications as soon as completed, so their customer does not miss out on the rebate. 5. Incomplete or insufficient applications will receive an automatic denial if not rectified within 30 days.
