“ Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” - Proverbs 16:3
FROM THE
MBCA Family and Friends,
HEAD OF SCHOOL
They drive us, impact how we act and interact, and guide our decisions. What has such an important impact on our organization? Glad you asked! That describes the concept of core values. Core Values are deeply ingrained principles – cultural cornerstones that are inherent and never compromised for convenience, personal impact, or monetary gain. Here at MBCA, we have clear mission and vision statements. We also have a culture that reflects our beliefs, but until recently, we hadn’t specifically defined or articulated those core values. After many months of work and collaboration with all constituencies, including staff members and families, to identify these important characteristics, we have formalized our MBCA Core Values. These are the fundamental principles and beliefs that guide our organization’s behavior. I’d love to hear how your experience at MBCA parallels the values below. Tell us your stories, and let’s talk further about these all-important concepts. We have chosen six keywords that identify our MBCA Core Values. You may notice that the first letter of each spells an acronym that’s not only easy to remember, but also reflects the ethos of our community: FIRE PiT. Like a campfire where friends gather around to share experiences together, we gather around these core values with a commonality of purpose.
Faith
• Pur suit of a rich per sonal relationship with Christ • Loving actions and behavior • Pur suit of joy in everything we do
• Evangelical outreach
Integrity
• Honesty • Transparency
Responsibility • Solid work ethic and commitment to the mission • Learn and grow through experiences, good and bad
Excellence
• Excellence in teaching • Excellence in learning
• Excellence in mentorship • Excellence in ser vice
Priorities
• Relationship with God • Responsibility to family • Responsibility to our calling
Teamwork
• Collaboration • Culture of communit y • Those impacted by a decision have a voice • Par tnership with parent s
As we move forward together, these values will continue to shape the way we teach, lead, serve, and care for one another. More importantly, they remind us of who we are and who we aspire to be as an MBCA community. Thank you for being part of the Mt. Bethel Christian Academy family and for helping us live out these values each day. I look forward to hearing your stories and seeing FIRE PiT reflected throughout our community. With gratitude,
Head of School

Matching Gifts Corporations of all sizes are helping Mt. Bethel Christian Academy make a significant and lasting impact in our classrooms through their participation in matching gift programs and other corporate support programs. Many businesses offer programs that match a portion or the full amount of a gift made to MBCA by their employees, spouses, and retirees. For the 2025-2026 school year, your Matching Gift support provided an additional $18,684 to MBCA! Please contact Jen Collier in the Advancement Office at Jennifer. Collier@mtbethelchristian.org with any questions about securing a matching gift, or visit the Matching Gifts section of our website on the support page. Thank you to the following companies for empowering our students to grow and develop into lifelong learners!

PARKING UPDATE
(Because apparently this is our biggest ministry) Some mornings it may feel less like arriving at school and more like competing in an episode of American Ninja Warrior: Construction Edition.
BLAS FROM T TH PAST E
If you are not into obstacle courses, simply imagine each day as an opportunity to navigate the world’s least exciting theme
park designed by escape room enthusiasts with a penchant for orange cones. Soon the dirt piles become classrooms. The temporary fencing becomes sidewalks. The construction site becomes a campus that will serve students for decades.

The Heart Behind MBCA Athletics
Behind every successful athletic program is a team of people working tirelessly behind the scenes, and at Mt. Bethel Christian Academy, our Athletic Association (AA) serves as a driving force for the continued growth and success of Eagle Athletics.
The AA is a dedicated volunteer organization made up of parents and supporters who are passionate about providing the very best experience for our student-athletes and coaches. Their commitment extends far beyond attending games - they give their time, talents, and resources to strengthen every athletic program on our campus. Through fundraising, planning, and service, the AA makes a lasting impact on the lives of our athletes. Thank you to our 2025-2026 AA board: Ben Walker (President), Clay Owens (Vice President), Donna Harrigan (Secretary), Nick Arnold (Treasurer), BJ Shaver, Jen Adams, Tamara Siemon, Ragan Weeks, John Jacobs, Maria Bell, Andrea Lam, Sean Berger, and Bob Pozatek. Each year, the AA hosts two signature fundraising events. In the fall, the Eagle Open Golf Tournament brings together golfers, sponsors, and supporters for a day of fellowship and friendly competition while raising significant funds for Eagle Athletics. This year the tournament was at a new course, The Manor. In the spring, the Soar & Serve Pickleball and Tennis Tournament provided another opportunity for our community to connect while investing in our athletic programs. Because of these efforts, the AA has provided funding for projects and resources that directly benefit our student-athletes. Recent purchases include Team Builder strength and conditioning software, a wrestling scale, athletic storage systems, commercial washer and dryer, lacrosse goals, the Gear Locker equipment management system, football duffle bags, and financial support for equipping our state-of-the-art weight room. Our coaches Thank you to our wonderful 2025and athletes have the tools they need to train, compete, and 2026 Athletic Association Sponsors! represent MBCA with excellence. Adams Construction Services, Inc. We are excited about the future of Eagle Athletics. With a strong AA Board leading the way, the best is still to come. Their servant leadership, vision, and unwavering support elevate every athletic program and create opportunities that impact hundreds of student-athletes. To every AA board member, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter— thank you for believing in our mission and for making a difference. Your investment is helping build champions not only in competition but also in character, faith, and leadership. If you would like to find a way to get involved as a member, volunteer, or sponsor, please reach out to Cal Boyd, Athletic Director, at cal.boyd@ mtbethelchristian.org. Go Eagles!

Capital Campaign BUILDING UP: A VISION COMING TO LIFE During the 2025-2026 school year, our community watched a beautiful new academic space rise from the dirt, and this January, our Upper School will make the big move into the new classrooms and dining hall, with Middle School and Lower School soon to follow. This plan brings to life MBCA’s long-held dream of bringing all three divisions together on one campus, creating a unified school community where Eagles of every age can learn, grow, and thrive together. Today, more than 120,000 square feet of new academic, athletic, dining, and fine arts spaces are taking shape on our Post Oak Tritt campus. And these aren’t simply new buildings. They are spaces designed to support the Christ-centered education that is at the heart of everything we do at MBCA. The new Academic Building includes innovative classrooms, science and engineering labs, a custom robotics competition space, collaborative learning areas, and the Film Academy, including film, broadcast, and podcast studios. It also provides spaces for student leadership, tutoring, technology support, admissions, and more. Our new Dining Hall will serve all three divisions of the Academy, featuring a commercial kitchen, café and gathering space, covered outdoor terrace, a stage, and an audio-visual control room designed to support everything from daily meals to school-wide gatherings. Construction is also underway on the Convocation Center, which will bring together athletics and the arts under one roof. The facility will include a performance gym, theater, locker rooms, PE and athletics spaces, The Perch school store, concessions, a wrestling and cheerleading

room, and more. The gym will also provide a new home for major community gatherings, including Convocation and Graduation. The Convocation Center is now scheduled for completion in September 2027. And the vision continues to come alive. As the Middle School moves to the Post Oak Tritt campus next year, plans are underway to transform the current Upper School building into a dedicated Middle School environment, with specialized learning spaces, labs, student commons, and access to the new facilities. Architects are also designing a brand-new Lower School building, complete with a library, common areas, developmentally appropriate classrooms, technology spaces, a playground, and more. Nestled between the Convocation Center and Dining Hall, this new building will create a purpose-built environment for our youngest students. We are currently raising the funds needed to make this next phase a reality. The Academy has also acquired 10 additional contiguous acres, extending our campus to Holly Springs Road and creating opportunities for an additional entrance, improved traffic flow, additional field space, and future facilities. With zoning approvals now in place, MBCA has the ability to grow to 850 students while remaining committed to the small-school experience that defines our community. Each and every student at MCBA is known and loved! What began as a bold vision is becoming a remarkable reality, and none of it happens without the generosity, prayers, and partnership of the MBCA community. Thank you for your continued support. We give thanks to the Lord for His provision and for every family, donor, volunteer, and friend who has helped move Building Up from vision to reality. These spaces will serve our students for future generations. The best is still to come.
PARKING UPDATE Parking - The construction zone is also doing an outstanding job of making every day an adventure, so please heed the following: Keep your cars on the asphalt. Keep your feet on hard surfaces. Park only where there are actual painted parking spaces. We admire creativity in lesson planning, not in parking. The walk from that upper lot to the main entrance is almost ¼ mile. I’m not saying it’s cardio...but if your watch congratulates you on closing your exercise ring, don’t be surprised. Drivers, watch for walkers.
BLAST E TH FROM T PAS
Walkers, watch for drivers. Everyone, watch for the person who is carrying a Stanley cup, laptop bag, backpack, and breakfast biscuit while checking the agenda on their phone. Please leave the parking spaces between the B-Mod and the Gym open. We randomly picked 222 to use in numbering the spots (Anyone remember “Room 222?”) There is no group of people I would rather navigate construction chaos, parking challenges, faculty meetings, schedule tweaks, copier jams, and blood borne pathogens with than this one.

Spring Fling: A STARRY NIGHT OVER MBCA Parent Council’s annual Spring Fling brought together beautiful décor, lively traditions, and generous giving for a memorable evening at Atlanta Country Club. Inspired by Vincent van Gogh, the “A Starry Night over MBCA” theme transformed the venue into a star-filled wonderland, complete with an extraordinary balloon art installation. The 2026 event also marked the return of the Lower School Bike Parade after a ten-year hiatus! During the auction, parents could purchase parade spots for their students to participate in the event taking place near the end of the school year. Students decorated their bikes and rode around campus and through Lower School hallways, bringing plenty of energy and joy to the festivities. The evening’s auction raised more than $107,000 to support the students, teachers, and programs that make MBCA special. Thank you to Parent Council and especially the Ways & Means Committee for making it all possible: Sarah Szymke and Jennifer Van Paepeghem (chairs), Theresa Doukov and Lesley Palmer (past chairs), and Mallory Hunter and Ashley Pendas (chairs-elect). Special Recognition
Academically, the Class of 2026 achieved extraordinary success. Together, they submitted 286 college applications across 21 different states. Members of this class were admitted into 22 Honors Colleges and selective leadership programs, reflecting both their academic preparation and personal character. Their scholarship accomplishments are historic. These totals do not even include Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship funding. On average, each graduate was offered approximately $265,000 in scholarships, totaling almost $9.2 million. These graduates will attend 21 different colleges and universities across 12 states, stretching from California to New York and throughout Georgia and as far south as Tampa, Florida. Athletically, the Class of 2026 leaves a strong legacy. Seven seniors earned All-Area, All-Region, or All-State recognition in their respective sports. Three students earned the prestigious Iron Eagle Award, competing in a sport during every season of all four years of high school, an incredible testimony to perseverance and commitment. Three members of this class will continue competing in collegiate athletics next year.

More Than a Retreat . . . There are some experiences that stay with you long after the muddy shoes are cleaned, the sleeping bags are packed away, and everyone finally catches up on sleep. Our 2025–2026 Middle and Upper School Retreat was one of those experiences. Yes, there was plenty of laughter, late-night energy, questionable cabin smells, and the occasional mystery of a missing sock. But beneath the fun was something deeper: our students were learning what it means to live in Christian community. They encouraged one another, cared for friends who were homesick, served without being asked, prayed together, and discovered that faith is not meant to be lived alone. The retreat also gave our students a front-row seat to the beauty of a faith that is real and lived out. Faculty members shared deeply personal stories of loss, hope, and God’s faithfulness. Incredibly, six students stepped into the water themselves, publicly declaring their faith in Jesus and celebrating the new life they have found in Him. Those moments matter. They remind us that Christian education is about more than what happens in a classroom. It is about forming young people who know they are seen and loved by God, who can recognize His faithfulness in both joyful and difficult seasons. They are learning to lean on their brothers and sisters in Christ. Our students came home tired, a little muddy, and carrying plenty of stories. More importantly, they came home carrying reminders of grace, courage, friendship, and new life in Christ. That is the kind of retreat worth remembering.
PARKING UPDATE As the students would say...
“The buildings are giving Ivy League vibes. The parking? Still in its ‘trust the process’ era.” We will get there.
