Jack Cody of Greeley, Colorado, was a gifted chiropractor and a passionate photographer, deeply influenced by the natural world and his early family experiences. Born on August 8, 1947, in Sterling, Colorado, Jack was the only child of Jerry and Ruth Cody. His childhood, enriched with nature walks and heartfelt conversations with his father, nurtured a profound appreciation for the outdoors, which continued to inspire him throughout his life. After graduating high school, Jack pursued higher education at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, obtaining his degree in 1967. He furthered his studies at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education with a focus on Special Education in 1969. His zeal for learning led him to a Master's Program at the same university, during which he met his future wife, an Iranian national. The couple married in 1975 and briefly lived in Iran, where Jack taught English and explored his burgeoning interest in photography. Upon returning to Colorado, Jack resumed his teaching career and completed his Master's Degree in Special Education in 1978. The following year, Jack and his wife welcomed their first child, a daughter. Feeling a need for a new professional challenge after about ten years in educatiEducationsought a dramatic career change in 1983. He enrolled at the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, where he immersed himself in the study of chiropractic care while continuing to cultivate his passion for photography. His doctoral thesis, "Sense of Sight through a Photograph," ingeniously combined his photographic expertise with his new professional path.
