With great joy we announce the creation of the St. Benedict Parish Educational Endowment Fund for tuition assistance! Last year, a handful of forward thinking and generous alumni wanted to make a contribution to the school while honoring special people who helped to make St. Benedict Preparatory School an extraordinary place. These alumni establish our new endowment to fund tuition scholarships that honor former staff and students. Several sizable gifts were combined in the amount of $25,000, which were then used to begin the endowment fund. The money earned from this endowment will perpetually help families afford a Catholic education for their children at St. Benedict Parish and Preparatory School.
Would you consider a gift to our endowment?
Your generosity will help us share more success stories such as the one about the Class of 2013 printed to the left. Your gift will help us steward this unique gift of PK-12 coed, parish, Catholic education that benefits so many families across Chicago. Your stewardship will help us continue our legacy of quality, Catholic education.
How will your gift help?
We currently award over $350,000 in tuition assistance to help hard-working Catholic families afford a St. Benedict Prep School education. Your gift will grow our endowment, which in turn, will provide interest income to help cover the cost of this tuition assistance. Our ultimate goal is to grow the endowment so that it generates enough interest income to cover the full cost of tuition assistance on an annual basis. Funding the endowment over the years will ensure that a St. Benedict education is affordable for such deserving students as the SBPHS Class of 2013. On behalf of the faculty and families at St. Benedict Parish and Preparatory School, we thank you for your consideration of a gift to the new endowment. May God bless you! Sincerely, Father Jason Malave, Pastor

Each Gift Becomes a Legacy for the Future of St. Benedict Parish and Preparatory School!

HOW DOES THE ENDOWMENT WORK??? 1) Gifts of cash, stocks, etc. are deposited in our special endowment account with the Archdiocese of Chicago.
2) The interest from this account is then awarded in scholarships to both current and incoming students.
3) This interest is divided to fund the yearly awards to students who exhibit excellence. Therefore an endowment with $100,000 on deposit for a year will earn the school $5,000
at the current interest rates. So growing the endowment will ensure funded scholarships for many years.
HOW CAN PARISHIONERS CONTRIBUTE TO OUR SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT??? Any gift no matter what the size will be a perpetual one that will benefit the students for years and years to come! Taking time to make a planned gift to the new endowment fund would be most appreciated. Please refer to the chart to the left for suggestions.
A planned gift counselor from the Archdiocese of Chicago will be happy to assist with any of the more involved options listed. Please contact: Mr. Richard S. Goode, Director of Planned Giving Tel: (312) 534-7848 Fax: (312) 534-7354 Email: email@example.com
