Author bio FRANCES MENSAH WILLIAMS was born in Ghana and grew up in the UK. After graduating from the University of Reading, she pursued a career in Human Resources Management, Training and Consultancy, which spanned the UK and Africa. She is now the Chief Executive of Interims for Development Ltd. and the Managing Editor of reconnectafrica.com, a careers and business website and online publication for African professionals in the Diaspora.

Frances is the author of the non-fiction titles Everyday Heroes – Learning from the Careers of Successful Black Professionals and I Want to Work in Africa: How to Move Your Career to the World’s Most Exciting Continent. She is the recipient of several awards and in 2011 was nominated as one of the Top 20 Inspirational Females from the African Diaspora in Europe.

Author bio FISTON MWANZA MUJILA was born in 1981 in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo, where he went to a catholic school before studying Literature and Human Sciences at Lubumbashi University. He now lives in Graz, Austria and is pursuing a PHD in Romance Languages. His writinghas been awarded with numerous prizes, including the Gold Medal at the 6th Jeux de la Francophonie in Beirut as well as the Best Text for Theater (“Preis für das beste Stück”, State Theater, Mainz) in 2010. His poems, prose works and plays are reactions to the political turbulence that has come in the wake of the independence of the Congo and its effect on day-to-day life. A graduate of Yale and Vanderbilt, Dr. Wilmot taught Political Sociology at Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria for 18 years and was a political advisor and speechwriter. In 1988, he was abducted by Nigerian security police and forcibly ‘retired’ to London. He has published various academic textbooks and articles, short stories and poetry. In London he comments on African affairs for radio and TV stations.
