Since our inception in 1931 and continuing to the present day the Jewellers Association of Australia (JAA) works nationally to represent and protect the interests of all the facets of the jewellery industry and its consumers.

Our mission is advancing the Australian jewellery industry through representation, unity and consumer confidence.

code of CONDUCT The Code sets out the highest standards currently available in the jewellery industry and ensures maximum protection of jewellery buying consumers. All JAA members are required to be Code signatories.

The highest professional and ethical standards and technical skills are necessary to maintain and enhance the reputation of the jewellery industry and uphold consumer confidence in the industry.

CONSUMER COMPLAINTS Know you have options by accessing free advice on consumer complaints.

The JAA can act as a mediator to assist in a resolution with consumers, though cannot legally enforce a resolution.

advocacy & lobbying In line with our vision to continue to be the united voice of the Australian jewellery industry, the JAA advocates and lobbies government for industry benefit and protection.

Between 2020-2023, the JAA lobbied on initiatives including tertiary education and COVID19 impacts on business. We welcome industry input for lobbying issues,

Thank you for your interest in joining the JAA. Since 1931, the JAA has nurtured, promoted and protected hundreds of individuals, companies and families across Australia to embrace their passion of jewellery and desire for high achievement to create successful and rewarding businesses.

Minimum application requirements are as follows.

Person or Company has an ABN Person or Company has been trading in the jewellery industry in Australia for a minimum of 12 months, or have relevant industry experience Be nominated by a current member of the JAA who you trade with.

Alternatively, provide two references from Australian companies you trade with that are not JAA members.
