Anca Gabriela Zosin Anca is a self-taught photographer living in Copenhagen. She has a personal connection to photography and the arts that developed during her Multimedia Design education. She is a true believer in diversity and passionate for expressive, daring visuals.

She enjoys creating the antithesis between elements, natural vs. unnatural. "I rarely plan how the final photo would look like, but I always know when I am there. I have now, finally found my way how to communicate!"

Daniel Castonguay Daniel Castonguay, is a street photographer based in Montreal, Canada. He started photography in 1979.

Living in a great city, he was naturally driven to street photography and depicting the quotidian life in its simplest form. When he began in this field of photography, he worked accordingly to the established standards of the style. At a certain point, he got bored of not being able to illustrate the mood of the “moment” in order to give a more authentic touch to his work.

Audacious and challenging the rules, he began to process his imagery to make it a little more mysterious.

Chris Toombes My name is Chris Toombes and I’m a street photographer better known as City Street Photos. I’m currently living and shooting on the streets of Calgary, Alberta, Canada but was originally from the UK. I emigrated to Canada in the summer of 2006, settling in Belleville, Ontario.

I relocated out west to Calgary in the summer of 2017. Why do I love street photography so much? As famous photographer Diane Arbus once said “ I really believe there are things nobody would see if I didn’t photograph them”.

Born and brought up in the picturesque Himalayan valley of Kashmir.

A self taught and styled artist Aamir Hameed Wani who returned home for an Ideology, whose transformation took place in Kashmir.

Aamir Hameed Wani

He narrates how the ideology was depicted in action on canvas and paper in his artworks. How the contemplation of his dreams through his Art form and style took shape and finally emerged as a reality.

Mostly focused on cotemporary and abstract forms, he decided to dictate his take on the subjects which are filled with fervour and volatility. Most recently he commissioned a collection based the Soviet Revolution. The Artist is also working on a collection about Jerusalem. Taken by the tenacity of the byzantine period and the geography of Jerusalem is what made me start this never ending subject, a year ago acclaimed the artist. Artist mentioned all the terms used to recreate this historical wonder were borrowed from Jewish Art history.

Zacaffeine My artist name is Zacaffeine and I am from Seattle where I studied at Gage Academy of Art. I’m inspired by the Pacific Northwest’s Islands and the pacific coast.

I also enjoy painting urban landscapes from NYC and Detroit. Urban Decay is a new series I’m working on featuring abandoned buildings around Detroit. Such a contrast between the two subjects keeps me engaged.

Consisting of two people, Maza Guyanto—he who crafts words, the muse to her paintings—and Seulgi Yoon Suak— she who crafts colours, the muse to his poetries—their focus is on translating every day scenes into a rhythmic collection of thoughtful words, and then into an abstract collection of bona fide colours.

"Legend Seekers" - interview with composer and violinist Sarah Wallin Huff Sarah Wallin Huff is a composer and violinist, and she just released an epic, “homegrown” instrumental album featuring her concerto for 6-string electric violin. We have conducted an interview with her.

INTERVIEW Why do you named this album "Legend Seekers"?

How long have you been working on this album? What was the greatest challenge?

I called this album “Legend Seekers” because of the title of the first movement of “Leviathan of the Ancient Deep”: “Seekers of the Legend”. This album was meant to feature that concerto for 6string violin, and its opening movement seemed to set the stage for everything nicely. As I decided on the other works that would complete the album, I realized that each told their own story of someone seeking their own legend in their own way.

It’s been a long road making this album. I completed “Leviathan of the Ancient Deep” in 2008, and for the last four or five years I’d been trying to get funding to make a representative recording of this massive work. I finally attained the knowledge, equipment, and courage to begin recording this concerto on my own about two years ago. So the recording, mixing, and mastering of everything has taken about two years. The most difficult part for me was being patient and keeping my hopes up! I had to be patient with myself and with the artistic process... It was well worth the wait!

Melanie Waingarten transports audiences to 1888 in ‘The Sower’ at Hollywood Fringe Art has been part of Melanie Waingarten’s life for as long as she can remember. She began painting at the mere age of four and had a strong sense of identity stemming from creative expression even at a young age. It was during this process of putting a brush to canvas that she recognized spatial awareness, and as she grew, she began to become interested in the multi-dimensional side of the craft and how her body could react with the material. She began to recognize that her body could be a medium of expression in itself and its own unique art form, which is where her passion for performing arts was born.

“I became highly interested in this idea of performance art, of the relationship between my physicality and the creation of art itself. And as I did more research and involved myself in the world of performance, I recognized it as something that came natural to me. Something that felt familiar. I think I loved the world of performance even before I knew it as a concept. In addition to this naturally occurring awareness, I was also faced with different situations that reinforced this connection and pushed me to further discover and connect with the things that I felt a passion for,” she said.

“Once, during a trip to Oslo Opera House, I found myself moved to tears by the monumentality of the space. Navigating that environment touched me deeply. I realized I wanted to live inside the theatre.

At another time, when assisting a light designer in Argentina by testing the ways in which light affected bodies on stage, I was once again moved, overwhelmed by the immensity of the space, of the scene, and the theatre as an entity,”
