It’s easy to forget that and to put all of your efforts into caring for others. But, forgetting about yourself can lead to a very unhappy, unhealthy, and unfulf illed life. So, Sis, please try not to do that. You. Always. Matter.

Spa days and vacations are about more than just the pampering.

Spa Days and Vacations Are Essential For Your Mental Well-Being Taking time away f rom the daily rigors of life should be a requirement for everybody. No one can just go, go, go without, eventually, starting to break down. You don’t want to have that happen to you, so preventative maintenance is key to minimizing that. We take on so much that it’s sometimes hard to let go...even for a short time. But, it’s a must!

You are likely used to giving 100% of yourself and with that, you may feel a little guilty f rom time to time when you do things for you. It’s almost as if women are made to feel like they can only get a “little” bit of time to themselves or else, they are neglecting their family/job/home.

That is so unfair and totally ridiculous. If those are the rules, then, we need to come up with some new ones...starting right now! To help you get started and encourage you along your journey to greater personal care, here are some reasons why you should pamper yourself unapologetically.

While it’s awesome to show so much love and concern for others, it’s extremely important to have that same love and care for yourself.

If you are like many, making the commitment to yourself could be a challenge, but trust that it will be totally worth it.

Sis, your self-care is a non-negotiable. It is just something that you have to do. Fill your cup, f irst! If you are running on empty and void of self-care you will not be able to give as much to others. Everything is affected and impacted when you are not operating at your optimal level.

So, start with you and you will have what you need to take care of those you love.

Losing that control can put an emotional strain on us. You don’t have to let that overwhelming feeling rule you. Take mental health breaks in your day or whenever you feel that you need them. people think. Your mental self-care matters most!

Commit to learning and growing.

2020 is in full swing and with it comes an opportunity for a renewed perspective on your priorities. It’s not just “resolution” time. A new year should usher in more than all of those “wish list” items for your life. For most, this time of renewal could be instrumental in helping to f igure out what you ain’t gon do, deal with, or accept in 2020.

Those are called “New Year Nevers”.

There are things that everyone has to overcome to be their best selves and to live their best lives. That’s a given. But, identifying those things and making a personal commitment to avoid and/or eliminate the negative and counterproductive distractions f rom your life could, literally, make all of the difference in the world. Your overall well-being should def initely be your ultimate priority...every day.

Never Try To Change Toxic People Auntie Maya Angelou warned us to believe people when they show you who they really are...the f irst time. It’s fair to say that you never want to try to make a person who you want them to be. In all honesty, you are creating that person in your mind only. This can be in relationships, at work, or even in your own family. Don’t put too much energy into trying to change folks.

Never Feel Like You Have To Spend Money Where You’re Not Wanted So, maybe you’ve been followed in one of those small, cute boutiques or been given the side eye when you’ve wanted to buy something that’s a bit expensive. That’s a normal situation that black women may f ind themselves in. Well, in this New Year, Honey, hold your money a little closer!

Be wise about who you give your hard earned money to and consider how you feel when you shop certain places. Support businesses that show that they appreciate you as a customer and those that have a vested interest in your community.

Never Take Your Village For Granted The time to step up and take your rightful place in “the village” is now. You have skills, experiences, compassion, and love that you could share with the families in your network and community. Stop waiting for “the right time” to get involved. Your village needs you and, contrary to popular belief, most people NEED their village. You don’t have to navigate this world totally alone.

There are people who could prove valuable resources in your journey. Connect with them and commit to doing more.

Never Give Up On You This year, like every year, will have its share of hurdles and obstacles that might cause you to stumble as you work towards your goals. Little hiccups in the process can happen, but do your best not to let them derail your purpose and dreams. When issues arise, regroup and refocus. Considering things f rom a different perspective may give you a clearer vision and give you the motivation to push through until you accomplish your goals! You will come through, Queen!

Can I change my size preference for future boxes?

Yes, you can do so inside your Brown Sugar Box account on izzyandliv.com, or you can email us at support@izzyandliv.com to update your preferences for you.

When will I be billed for next month’s box?

You will be rebilled on the 1st of the month for the next box. So you will be billed for the November box on the 1st of November; for the November box on the 1st of December and so on...

You will not be billed for the next box until after the box from the current month has been shipped/ delivered.

What is your cancellation policy?

Your subscription can be canceled at any time in your Brown Sugar Box Account Settings at izzyandliv.com. If you’ve already been billed for the next box (1st of the month), your cancellation will take affect the next billing cycle. To cancel your subscription, login to your account and click on the Subscription tab, then click “edit” next to your subscription. You can also email us to request that we cancel for you.

Can I exchange or return items in my box?

We cannot accept returns at this time for Brown Sugar Box items, but we welcome your feedback to improve. Email us at support@ izzyandliv.com to share your thoughts. We value your feedback and our mission is to make every Brown Sugar Box more than worth your while! Your feedback will help us to make sure we make this box amazing and as valuable as it can be. As far as the item(s), you can always gift them to a friend, coworker, or family member- these items make GREAT gifts!

Can I skip a month without canceling?

Yes, you can skip a future month delivery and not be billed for it, without having to cancel your entire subscription. Once logged into your Brown Sugar Box account at izzyandliv. com, you will need to open the “Delivery Schedule” tab. There you will see all upcoming deliveries for your subscription. To skip a delivery, you just need to click “Skip” to the right of each relevant delivery.

This will only skip that one delivery. To skip multiple deliveries you will need to click “Skip” next to each relevant one. Alternatively, you can email to have us skip deliveries for you.

How can I share photos or unboxing videos with you?

Yes! We live for customer feedback & reviews! Just post your pics or video on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube etc. and hashtag #brownsugarbox, #izzyandliv and @izzyandliv. You can also leave a photo review on the Brown Sugar Subscription page! If you make a blog post, email us with the link. If your social media is private we will not be able to see your post, so feel free to email us to let us know where to check it out!

Something went wrong with my order/ delivery what should I do?

Should you have an issue with your box items (damaged, received wrong size, etc) you must notify us at support@izzyandliv. com, with photo(s), within 7 days of receipt of your package. After 7 days, we will not be able to process requests related to this month’s box. If your box was returned due to consumer error, please reach out to customer service for reshipment at an additional cost.
