A Guru is a living creature that live its life following the rules of nature. Unlike us humans, who have many choices and ways to live our lives. This project allows us to investigate and study the genius of these remarkable creatures which can be interpreted as their way of life and behaviour. The architecture and the overall programme is then formed based on the chosen guru.

Inspired by the the book, INVISIBLE CITIES by Italo Calvino, we were tasked to create a 4x4x4m Cabin based on the anecdotes of the different cities the author had experienced. My chosen city was ADELMA, a city of the dead. In this studio challenge, we went through the process of doing site analysis, concept designing and detailed working drawings.

The objective of this proposal is to develop a modern architecture with an ethnic façade. It is also to morph the Shirakawa-Go house from traditional residential building to a modern Recreational Centre equipped with facilities for people to use. The building will be able to cater to those who wants to spend their leisure time and have fun
