Hi! I’m Izzat Hakimi and this is my Portfolio.

Finished and graduated my Part I in architecture at UiTM Puncak Alam. People there called me Kimi for short. Dreamt to be a professional architectural designer hence am now embarking on a journey to explore and experience the art of architecture. Ark literally translate to a ship or a vessel. A kind of transport that will let you sink while delving deeper into my works and masterpieces.

Ark also is an abbreviation of Ar Kimi. An impression I give to myself as motivational booster to achieve my dream.

PRADA KL Epicenter

Location : Jalan Raja Chulan, Bkt Bintang, KL | Building Area : 2500sqm Building Type : Innovative & Exhibition Hub

Tasked to produce a design proposal of A Corporate Innovative and Exhibition Hub for PRADA brand company. The building will be the centre of any top lifestyle brand business to develop and promote their business products to the public. The latest development and innovative products will be exhibited and displayed to the public especially the loyal fan or customer of the company’s products at the hub. It also houses small research and innovative department for product development.

PRADA KL Epicenter is an ever-changing pageant where you walk through PRADA’s inter-dimension realities offering myriads of stereographic exhibition spaces.

By immersing the entire body with PRADA’s linen in these massive body immersive artworks, the boundary between the body and the artwork dissolves, the boundaries between the self, others, and haute couture become continuous. Explore a new relationship without boundaries between oneself and the world. Visitors enter the museum and become completely immersed with other visitors in the vast artwork spaces displayed by the fashion world of PRADA.

Location : Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam, Selangor | Building Area : 2 acres Building Type : Arts & Crafts Co-Living Housing

Co-living is increasingly gaining popularity, particularly in large, expensive, international cities and among the millennials and Generation Z who have grown up with technology, social media and the sharing economy. As younger people nowadays are more open to the ideas of collaboration and community, the concept of co-living, which is similar to co-working, is becoming popular. Both concepts take a novel approach to people’s daily activities, and co-working is evolving to combine co-living.

This project is assigned to design a communal dwelling for artists and creative-centric people of all passion to live, work, cooperate and strive together doing what their interested the most, which is art.

Here at KARYA, artists personalisation is taken heed and respected. Artists are celebrated and ascended to the highest caste. They have rights to stylise, manage, organize or utilise all the spaces that KARYA have provided.

Artists Personalisation

Metamorphosis of Housing Unit | Unit Design All units shall have at least 1 bedroom, a kitchenette, a convertible living room into Ruang Pameran (Personal Exhibition Room), A convertible balcony to Ruang Seni (Private Studio) and a bathroom. Attached to the Ruang Seni is an accordian door that can be lock and unlock to link with neighbouring Ruang Seni to promote co-living experience. It is equipped with adjustable rolling louvers where residents can control the amount of sunlight they want to let in.

Worry of nosy neighbours? Residents of KARYA is selected based on interview and is a contract-based living.

The idea of convertible living room into Ruang Pameran is considered by understanding and respecting various artists character, taste, style, mood and personalisation. Having a gallery is a must, but sharing it with all other artist might restrict some artist style. The event to have exhibition on each unit might take place annually, depends on the resident’s decision. Each unit will be provided with a folding sliding panels that can be utilised as display panel as well as partition to segregate the private areas.

A family retreat house made and designed specially for En Abd Ghani and wife for their getaway during the weekend. This house was built on En Abd Ghani’s piece of land that he uses as his private orchard with a total of 2.3 acres of land. This project is scheduled to be completely built on December 2021 with furnishings.
