Positive Impacts I use my success to share my passion for daily maintenance. I've attended various events where I share "Intentional Maintenance" with others at no cost.

I have also assisted two people to start their business. I have spoken to teenage girls and inspired them to start their journey of "Intentional Maintenance."

Motivation My passion to share the knowledge I've gained about health with others guides my motivation.

As a Black woman, I've learned over the years there's so much we don't know about our health due to slavery. As I learn more about myself as a Black woman, I want to provide that knowledge to others.

Dr. Marée is a loving mother, life and development coach, author, facilitator, and Retired Army Master Sergeant. During her military service she relocated to several countries. The changes of the environment created challenges for her hair and sensitive skin. She was reminded of the home remedies her grandparents taught her, so she decided to learn more about herbs and natural care products. The journey led to Marée Wellness, where she believes in “Intentional Maintenance” for the mind body & soul.

Meet the Founder and Owner Dr. Fikisha Marée

Barriers I have broken barriers and challenges by staying my true and authentic self. There are some stereotypes about the herb/holistic health industry such as magic or witch craft.

I quickly inform people that's not my belief or practice. Africans brought herbs to the U.S. and used them for health and made salves after they were beaten. I also use herbs because I am a follower of Christ. Gen 1:11-12 and 1:29.

Balance I am currently retired but I will go back to work again within the next 30 days. I am working on a schedule so I can continue to be successful with my career but also maintain a personal life.

My journey as an entrepreneur has been a humbling experience. There are no set hours as an entrepreneur, and I have learned discipline is necessary to be successful on this journey. I've learned how to embrace the roller coaster ride, because entrepreneurship is filled with ups and downs.

However, I am determined to stay on this journey and achieve my goals to provide "Intentional Maintenance" tips to all. As a Black woman in the health and beauty industry, my passion to share health tips for the "mind, body, and soul" has been welcomed by all races and ethnicities.
