La poltroncina Do-Maru riprende il nome delle antiche armature dei samurai, costruite con rigide placche di cuoio verniciato e decorato che avvolgevano e proteggevano il corpo dei guerrieri. Come già per la poltrona girevole Almora, disegnata da Doshi Levien nel 2014, anche in questo caso il guscio della seduta è stato realizzato con una coppia di scocche sovrapposte, ammorbidite da due controimbottiture rivestibili in tessuto o in pelle.

Il supporto posteriore, in fusione di alluminio, sottolinea come un tratto vigoroso la linea conica della poltroncina, mentre il supporto anteriore è in tubolare metallico con finiture verniciato nero, verniciato cromate nero o verniciato peltro, che si abbinano ai colori della scocca: bianca, antracite e tortora.

The small armchair Do-Maru is named after the ancient armour worn by samurai warriors, made up of painted and decorated thick leather plates that covered and protected the hero’s body. Like the swivel armchair Almora, designed by Doshi-Levien in 2014, once again the shell of the seat is made up of a couple of superimposed bodies, softened by paddings that can be upholstered with either fabric or leather.

The die-cast aluminium back support boldly underlines the conical profile of the small armchair, while the anterior support is in tubular metal with painted black chrome, pewter painted or black painted finishes, studied to match the colours of the body: white, anthracite and tortora.

Édouard comprende una famiglia di imbottiti innovativi, dal forte appeal estetico e funzionale: poltrona, divani ed elementi seduta accostabili (terminali, angolari e chaise longue), che permettono di creare aree relax adattabili allo spazio e al gusto personali. Il sistema si presenta in due tipologie, che si diversificano per le diverse altezze delle strutture: cm 92 per la poltrona e i divani, cm 85 per gli elementi accostabili. I divani sono stati disegnati ottimizzando il comfort grazie all’ampiezza della seduta e allo schienale alto, anche dotabile di poggiatesta, che consente il massimo ed efficiente sostegno ergonomico. Édouard is a family of innovative upholstered furniture endowed with powerful aesthetic and functional charm: armchair, sofas and sectional seating elements (chaise longue, terminal and corner elements) designed to create restful areas that suit both the space available and the personal taste. The system offers two typologies which differ in the back height structure, namely 92 cm for the armchair and sofas, and 85 cm for the sectional elements. The sofas have been designed to enhance comfort with a wide seat and a high backrest, which can also be fitted with a headrest, studied to ensure efficient and excellent ergonomic support.

La silhouette di alcuni degli elementi del sistema Édouard non è lineare, ma leggermente curva, come se la sinuosità, che per sua natura richiama il concetto di abbraccio e di accoglienza, volesse rappresentare un invito all’incontro e alla condivisione. I rivestimenti, declinati in un’ampia gamma di tessuti e pelli, sono personalizzati con cuciture a rilievo in diverse colorazioni, che definiscono le strutture con una forte impronta grafica.

The silhouette of some elements in the Édouard system is non-linear, but slightly curved, as if the sinuous lines that recall the concept of embrace, were an invitation to convivial gatherings. Covers are available in a wide range of fabrics and leathers with coloured raised stitch that define the structures with an impressive graphic effect.

Richard è il sistema di sedute che si distingue per il disegno equilibrato e contemporaneo, con rimandi ad atmosfere classiche, e che sviluppa il tema della componibilità a partire da ben 76 elementi in due profondità: cm 93 per soluzioni più formali e contenute, cm 123 per composizioni di ampie dimensioni e sedute più informali.

L’estrema flessibilità compositiva e la semplicità con cui i vari elementi possono essere agganciati tra loro permettono di interpretare lo spazio living dando vita alle più svariate configurazioni, da quelle più tradizionali a quelle conviviali con sedute, panche, pouf e chaise longue.

L’ampia gamma di rivestimenti in tessuto, con abbinamenti di profili tessili tono su tono o a contrasto, e di rivestimenti in pelle con profili nella stessa pelle, consente una personalizzazione ancora maggiore, offrendo soluzioni monocromatiche o a contrasto.

La struttura è sottolineata alla base da un profilo metallico con finitura verniciata cromata nera o verniciata peltro. Quattro dimensioni di cuscini opzionali (cm 65x50, 48x48, 55x30, 38x38) aumentano il comfort.

Richard is the seating system which distinguishes itself by its balanced contemporary design, with references to classical atmospheres. Its modular theme is developed by 76 elements in two depths: 93 cm for more formal and contained solutions, and 123 cm for larger compositions and more informal seating.

The extreme flexibility of the system and the ease with which the different elements can be assembled allows the living space to be interpreted in the most varied configurations, from formal to more relaxed, with seats, benches, ottomans and chaise longue.

The wide range of covers, in fabric with matching tones or contrasting profiles, and in leather with profiles in the same leather, allows an even greater level of customisation, offering monochromatic or contrasting solutions.

The structure is emphasized by a metallic profile at the base, either painted black chromed or pewter painted. Four sizes of optional cushions (65x50 cm, 48x48 cm, 55x30 cm, 38x38 cm) increase the comfort.

La serie Mirto Indoor si arricchisce nel 2016 di nuovi elementi quali tavoli bassi, tavolini di servizio, pouf e consolle e inserisce la nuova verniciatura peltro per le strutture metalliche. Tra le proposte un’originale soluzione adottata per il tavolo basso da soggiorno (cm 135x135) che prevede il piano rivestito da una fodera tessile arricchita sui bordi da profili in tessuto tono su tono o a contrasto.

Nuovo anche il pouf con cuscino che poggia su una struttura di base in alluminio nelle caratteristiche finiture della serie, verniciato cromato nero e verniciato peltro.

The Mirto Indoor range has been enriched in 2016 with new elements such as low tables, service tables, ottomans and consoles, and introduces the pewter painting finish for the metal structures. Among these proposals, an original solution for the low table (135x135 cm), which features a textile upholstered top enriched at the edges by matching tones or contrasting profiles. Also new, the ottoman with a cushion that rests on an aluminium base structure with the existing finishes present in the series, painted black chromed and pewter painted.

Con i tavolini Cozy Antonio Citterio riscrive l’estetica del classico guéridon treppiede, trasformandolo in un oggetto di alto design, volutamente eccentrico.

Elemento attrattivo, da inserire in ambienti diversi, ha struttura di sostegno alta cm 60 in fusione d’ottone con finitura lucida o in lega metallica con finitura verniciata cromata nera oppure verniciata peltro. Il piano, diametro cm 60, è disponibile in diverse varianti: in legno di rovere nelle finiture chiaro spazzolato, grigio, nero spazzolato e fumigato; in eucalipto frisé a superficie lucida e in vetro retro-verniciato bronzato.

With Cozy, small tables, Antonio Citterio revisits the aesthetics of the classical three-legged pedestal table, converting it into an intentionally eccentric item of high design. An attractive element that merges into various interiors, it has a 60 cm high supporting frame in die-cast brass with polished finish or in metal alloy with painted black chrome or pewter painted finish. The 60 cm diameter top is available in several variants, namely in oak wood with several finishes (brushed light, grey, brushed black and smoked), in eucalyptus frisé wood with glossy surface, and in bronze back-painted glass.

Il punto di forza dei tavolini Maru è il piano di spessore importante abbinato alla struttura in pressofusione con tre sostegni. Due i diametri: cm 51 e 141, che li rendono utilizzabili sia come coffee table davanti al divano, che come tavolini d’appoggio ai lati. Il tavolino da cm 51, disponibile in 16 colori, abbina il piano verniciato lucido alla struttura verniciata satinata. Quello da cm 141 prevede il piano in vetro, in legno oppure in marmo, con struttura verniciata satinata nera, verniciata satinata bianco gesso, verniciata peltro o verniciata cromata nera.

The key feature of the small tables Maru is the thick top combined with the structure composed by three die cast aluminium legs. Two diameters: 51 and 141 cm, which make them the ideal choice either as coffee tables in front of the sofa or as occasional tables. The small table with diameter 51 cm, available in 16 colours, combines a glossy painted top with a satin painted structure.

For the one with diameter 141 cm the top can be chosen among glass, wood and marble, while the structure is available in the finishing satin black painted, satin chalk white painted, painted black chrome or pewter painted.

Simili a creature marine primordiali o a grandi animali unicellulari, possono comporre arcipelaghi al centro di un locale o diventare la naturale prosecuzione di divani e poltrone. I rivestimenti, tessili o in pelle, sono tesi sulla struttura tramite una sorta di “bottone” oversize, che assomiglia a un ombelico o a un grande occhio e sembra mettere in comunicazione i pouf Tabour con l’anima dell’ambiente che di volta in volta li accoglie.

Resembling primeval marine creatures or large unicellular animals, they are designed to form archipelagos in the centre of a room or to become the natural continuation of sofas and armchairs. Textile or leather covers are stretched on the frame by a sort of oversize “button” that resembles a navel or a large eye, and seemingly establishes communication between the Tabour ottomans and the spirit of the room where they are placed.
